Hello. I am looking for as many playtesters as possible to test my current demo release of the hack my grilfriend and I have been working on, on and off, over the past year.
Right now there are 6 "completed" levels to be tested with a total of 8 exits. There is also a power up level with side exits, and two incomplete levels, marked on the overworld with Red Switch Place objects. Our hack is far from complete and we have many levels yet to create.
I am looking for constructive criticism on all aspects of my current levels, including things you specifically liked/disliked, perceived difficulty level for each, solid design elements, things I should consider changing, and of course, bugs.
Please note I have added a wall-kicking hack to the game and some design elements which require the wall-kick. When we get further with the hack we will add an introduction to the new mechanic in the early levels.
I am looking for somebody to bug test our hack (antimatterhunter and Skewer's) hack "TD4C#3: The Crater"; I would like for this person to check for the following:::
• Fatal Bugs
• Working Midway Points
• Unfairness (Just because I can beat it, doesn't mean others can: I made it after all.)
As a tester, you are free to skip the story sections; the only one I recommend you to sit through is the one on the level "The Core"; as it has directions. (It's only 30 seconds long, so it shouldn't be too bad)
I have no need for proof reading as that is being taken care of. I will hire only two testers. As for what I expect from the tester:
• Consistant Updates: I expect a report once a week; you can report for every five levels. Those who finish the hack in a month and provide me with what a want, listed above, I'll send a good report to the thread owner. Those who provide constructive feedback (which isn't asked), finish within the month, and a list(s) with the bugs: I'll send a detailed report serving your success.
• Bugs in List Form: I would appreciate the bugs being listed like this: World x - Level Name
Bugs in "Bullet Form" (If you do not know how to make a bullet, copy the ones used in this post, or useALT+7(NumberPad), whoop, looks like you've learned how to!
I would like this list in a .txt file made via notepad.
Those who do not send me a report (via PM) once a week; I will fire them and I will be sending the thread owner the necessary review. If you can not send a report; I ask that you let me know before hand so we can avoid this issue.
All successful testers will have their names placed in the credits.
Please PM me if you want to test.
Looking for anybody to port some songs from Metroid Fusion, specifically 3 songs: "SRX", "TRO" and "AGA".
Location: United States
Currently Testing: None Type of Tester: Bug and Play Tester; Proofreader Max. Amount of Levels/Worlds: Any
Description: I have played a fair amount of hacks since joining the site back in '09 so I know what I would like to see in a hack I would play from beginning to end. Summers are usually the best time for me to test as I have two months of free time outside of maybe 2 or so events that usually take up only 5 days out of them. I usually prefer to play test but I can easily bug test if needed.
Note: Skewer if your position for bug tester is still open I'll be ready as soon as my profile gets accepted (if it does) to start testing your hack.
Calling all testers! I'm looking for a few people to go through this 50+ exit hack. You may feel free to poke me any way you wish - through PM, IRC, this thread, the actual thread for my hack - for all the errors you come across in your playthrough.
I'm not looking for any particular category of betatesters; proof readers and bug testers are both welcome to let me know what's wrong!
-The Star Path from the secret exit in Secret Ghost House doesn't actually lead anywhere
-The level in the middle of the Star Road is incomplete
-Certain secret exits may or may not be relocated in the final version
-Level on the title screen is tentative
-There may be pointless No-Yoshi intros (Yoshi isn't in this hack), if you find any let me know
Currently Testing:Nothing, feel free to hit me up Type of Tester: Play Tester, Proofreader Max. Amount of Levels/Worlds: 5 worlds, or approximately 50 levels
I don't wish to offend, but there is a massive amount of hacks which have a lack of grammar of this website. I'd wish to fix this. I also like to Play Test, firstly to help improve the quality of hacks on this website, but secondly, to improve the skills of others on this website. I will NOT take joke hacks or hacks that are less than 1 world long.
So yes, I've probably asked here before, but I'm looking for as many people as possible to test the current demo of Mario's Nightmare Quest.
Daizo is already a tester for this one, as is levelengine and a few other people, but I'm also interested in anyone who'll be specifically willing to look for bugs and other such technical issues, since the level design stuff should be accounted for.
I'm trying to find some testers to test my hack for bugs, and just to give me general criticism. If you're interested, please PM me, and I'll send you my hack. My hack has a mix of kaizo hard and kaizo light levels, but mostly kaizo light levels. It was first called Mario's Cheesy Adventure, then Mario's Quest of the Ages, and is now known as Mario's Cheesy Quest of the Ages.
