I like how The Crater's Boiler Room graphics are getting a modernized upgrade for another purposes, though having two lava surfaces on the layer 2 bg strikes me as an odd choice along with the lighting source on the front rock wall (well, more specifically, how the top-left of the rock is shaded as darkest even though I get that its supposed to have light coming upwards from lava.).

EDIT: Retracted part of the statement. Turns out that the choice is perfect on the rocks. What I will have a suggestion is having rocky spires stick out on the lava to make the liquid base be less "empty".

Regarding the hacks, I really do like (understatement) the effort the hack authors put into their entries but I do have a small concern regarding original graphics you made years ago when doing modern updates to older entries of the series. Certain graphics you made do look quite dated (that is not to say that they are bad) in comparison to your more recent ones whic can result in stylistic clashing. The Crater is the most glaring one of the series (ex: Crystal Mountain's old bg, old Iceburg bg, Hunter's Capitallarium tileset graphics) though again, I reiterate that they arent bad graphics. The earliest graphics used were made pre-split and knowing that you may think they arent good now, with the current hacks (mainly Crater, FS has less of that issue and can hold up to the current artistic standards) of the series officially hosted on the site...will they get an update for more stylistic consistency?

Im hyping for this. I completed almost all the games on 100% *those damn hearts were quiting annoying to get so I said screw them... I do got at least 3 hearts but I'm quite excited to see when this comes out. I'll be immediately downloading and playing it. So keep up the excellent work you 2!

I do not know how you would, as we have not released any demos of Revelations (and any of HRRV that were up are no longer)

You can only make videos The Crater and The Fourth Sector as of this moment for very obvious reasons.
Incase you don't know tha reason: they're the only released hacks in TD4C.

They haven't started development of the prequels to The Crater.

Dont take my word for this upcoming statement as this is my best explaination for their reasons why: When they have 3 hacks that are still ongoing in development and now with the VLDC9 event, one would expect that other entries wouldnt be a priority for them to develop. Patience is a virtue you know.

Star Wars begins with Episode 4, and it (Star Wars) is a great series so the argument isn't exactly valid. We call it Episode 3 because we have prequels planned.

It would have been part 1 would it not for the fact that we had to change the original story in such a way that called for the presence of prequels, plus the fact all it's levels were already made made it a priority to release.

Regardless if it's part 1 or part 10, it was made first, thus comes out first.

Ive tryied before but i cant place stuff or adding stuff
Ive tryied to use the tutorial
But its out of date
Ive even trying to remove everything on the world
And wanted create my own one

As far as all of that goes, Lunar Magic is a pretty user friendly tool. You got layer1/2 editor that you can use to move objects around and stuff. That's #lm{l1} and what have you. Play around with the editor and you'll learn; I taught myself how to use Lunar Magic for the most part.

However, this is not a Lunar Magic tutorial thread, and as far as helping us to make hacks: we're not taking applications, and we're not looking to add others to our small team.

If you need further help, I'll direct you to the General SMW Hack Help section of the forum; otherwise, please do not continue this line of posting in this thread.

For those wondering, HRRV is now in the beta-testing phase, meaning for the most part, it is finished. This post is simply an update; here's to hoping we can have it finished and released within the next month.

Also, the beta is a closed one. Do not ask to beta-test, you will not get an answer.
