@levelengine, it looks absolutely great. One problem though. You forgot to put in the Layer 2. Just put it in and send it back to me, I'll accept it then.

@RMG, first, don't zip up the entire folder and send it to me. Send JUST the .ips file. Your level was pretty good, though I can't accept it right now. A few pics and then major stuff.


That midway point would look better if you moved it down some.


While the idea was good, this room was boring item babysitting. This is the main reason I can't accept it, it needs to be redesigned.


It'd be nice for some warning that there's spikes in the Layer 2.

On the topic of the second room, it was all copy-pasted floating platforms. Mix it up a little! And I was running out of time by the end, please make it shorter.
On the topic of the boss, do we really need the spikes? The eeries are hard enough imo. Also, you need a reset door.

Once I get these two, a new base update will be on the way.
Can I join? I would like to claim level 103.
Added. Have a ball with it. Make sure you use the most recent base and Lunar Magic 2.10!

I checked the patch and saw that the Layer 2 was there, unless you were referring to the cloud background that I removed to eliminate cutoff and improve palettes that you accidentally thought was on Layer 2. If the cloud background isn't it, then what did you mean by a missing Layer 2?

No, that's not it. It doesn't matter anyway. It turns out I turned "View Layer 2" off #ab{>_<}

Anyway, accepted. Still waiting on RMG and then teh base.

Yeah, I'm going to do a couple edits on the boss. I'll have this all done by tomorrow.
Before I get to try to make a level for this, is there a difficulty curve for each world? I have a weird habit of making levels difficult (Not kaizo) in some shape of form.
If you're going to make a difficult level, you should probably claim something in one of the last worlds.
Spirit's Lair would probably be your best choice for difficult level, though that world depends a lot on ghosts. If you're not in the mood to do ghosts, probably try Hell.
I'm not dead yet! I haven't had a lot of access to my computer due to having a lot of IRL things to do. I'm a busy guy, what can I say...? #teamnosleep

Anyways, here's an update to my level 118. Same drill as before.

The pipe in screen 06 will go to another cave sublevel that will actually support lava and fireballs.

Just wanted to know if you like the palette.


It is supposed to be a puzzle level.
I've got a couple nitpicks with that:

It could just be me, but it doesn't really look all that "puzzly". Work on it a bit more before you call it a puzzle level. Also, the cave tileset clashes with the ghost house background...

One last thing...From the screenie, I can't tell what's ground and what isn't. Maybe you could darken the palette of the ground you can go through a bit.

@YourJayer, another thing, the cave ground palette, while not terrible, is part of a style called pillow shading. That is a clash with the rest of the hack. Please try to use fully shaded surfaces. In the palette editor, you can make a dark and a light color, and then use alt-right click on each to create a arc of colors between them. Try that out.

@3Stripes, it looks pretty good. I don't think the cave palette is dark and red enough to match the hellish atmosphere, and the rocks are too dark and red. Other than that, keep up the good work!

I might not actually have the baserom made today. Problem 1 is my science project rough draft, which is due on Monday. The other problem is that my family is majorly rearranging furniture today. So, sorry if I don't make it.
I'll be claiming 126.
YourJayer: the palette's a bit simple. It'd maybe change up the the current stone palette and also I'd change the background.
