Super Mario World -Z-

I'm quite late on making a thread for this hack, I started it a couple years ago and still haven't finished it to this day.

Playing back over it, it's not really one of the hardest hacks I've made, and level 9 ended up having a few problems, but I'd say it's good for a kaizo hack. I also made heavy use of shell jumping, because I loved this trick so much.

Oh yeah, this hack exists. I remember it being pretty creative, tho I agree that stage 9 has a few problems. To me it's one of the less creative stages you've made, but somehow that doesn't stop it from being fun to watch. I just don't think it would be very fun to play, as it's almost nothing but shell jumping.
I may be fine with the level name "Fucked" but I'm not sure how many other people would be. Perhaps you could give a warning about foul language being present in the hack.

I might try and find a way to fix the sprite limit problems in the final room in level 9. If I can't, then it'll stay as is and I'll deal with it.

One of my goals in Super Mario World "Just Deal With It" was to be more creative and not fill it with shell jumping, because I used it too much in this hack.



I could give a notice in the ReadMe when I release the hack.

Update:

I haven't forgotten about this, but I just can't seem to get to building the rest of this level at all, even on my free time. It will hopefully be easier to get to SMW editing when the summer comes.

Another update:

New plans. I want to put level 10 into a completely different ROM, like Worldpeace125 did with the last couple levels of Cool Or Cruel. I want to take my time on it and make it a truly amazing level (hopefully), so it would seem more appropriate to put it in a different ROM; most of the hack isn't all that sophisticated.

Sounds fine to me.

Yeah, But your levels look kinda easy to me.

This looks nice. Also, It's nice to see a kaizo hack that doesn't use the same clustered level layout.

Not all Kaizo hackers have their Levels like that.

I once considered quitting, because I had no idea what I wanted to do for this level.

Can you fix your IPS files? Both of them didn't worked. When I apllied the patch, the window said patching was successful, but when I open the rom, it's still original SMW.
