Hack Marioworld - by SMW_Forever

[download zip]

Your levels were pretty fun to play, but there are some smaller-bigger problems that should be definitely fixed (also, I'm not even sure this is the right section for your hack, but we'll get on that later...).

You didn't use the correct Sprite GFX, so the ON-OFF block becomes this glitchy.

Mario disappears when there's a Banzai Bill on the screen. Use a different value in the #lm{sprhead} settings in Lunar Magic or the No More Sprite Tile Limits patch.

Your English isn't that bad! There are just a few typos you should fix:
*Perhaps
*messages

Grey cement blocks + water/ground = cutoff.

- You shouldn't really use that many grey cement blocks.
- The color of the glass (?) blocks could be better (why not the original color?)

These colors of the Switch Blocks didn't fade out properly.

Hmm...this sure looks familiar!
Don't leave unedited levels / level parts in your hack, start building your levels from scratch.

Glitches like block cloning...

...and skills like key-jumping shouldn't be required in a normal hack. While your hack wasn't that hard at all, I felt that the level design from this part was more Kaizo-ish than before.

So, if this is supposed to be a Kaizo hack (or just a "really hard normal" hack), I suppose you could just upload it to your My files folder, and post it in this forum. But if you want to see this hack approved, you'll need to remove these parts.

Also, on a final note, please don't submit all of your hacking files next time! All you should submit is an IPS file (and optionally a readme) in a ZIP, but uploading all of your sprites and music files is unnecessary.

You spelled "Mario" wrong, also the screenshot also shows that he used a wrong corner tile here
Mario's Return to Home progress:
Overworld: 100%
Levels: 53%

Its a 4 level hack (not counting Mario's house)
Fixed non-matching 3rd level from OW

Still relevant. I know you're just trying to help him out, put I think most of us knew he was talking about Mario. #fim{:P}

Also, we really should start working on categorizing hacks so Kaizo hacks can finally be accepted for once.
