I know this maybe a two month bump, but coming from a let's player standpoint, I have to tell you that a microphone will always pick up keyboards and mouse noises so long as you don't edit the audio. You really should try out a program called "Audacity" to remove any background noises, rather than spending 100$ on equipment that is literally just an expensive version of what you had before.

Then again, you probably decided to quit already, but I thought I'd give my own advice.

I did decide to continue after all, even though I'm not really sure why since pretty much nobody actually watches. I am recording microphone audio separately with Audacity, which at least makes it a lot easier to adjust the relative audio levels. Not sure about the background noise, though.

Well, I freaking finally managed to get the next LP video uploaded after a good 6 months of downtime...that kind of sucked, and I really had no excuse. There is that, though, and I have a little bit of a buffer (though they're not put together).
