I've been using the export both faces in sketchup pro and i looked in my model and there was a floor where it shouldn't have been. Thanks!

My problem is with the texturing and collision. A few posts ago, i asked why he went through the walls on wall/fence. I took a few snapshots of what happens from both the white and purple sides.

Purple side:Purple side

White to Purple side:white to purple

When mario goes on the white side, he goes through the wall. When he is in the blue side, he gets stuck in the wall and cannot get out. Can someone help?

Never use the Purple side for anything, they make the collisions very glichy so texture on the white side only.

use only the white side for textures and dont export both faces. you only need to export the front faces

A small update on progress!
Currently, i am doing about 1 level design per week. I am working on 3 more courses and changing a few things in my previewed levels. Near the end of April or early May, i will post a new preview of either Icefire Caverns or Mt. Lavalava and screenshots. Just ask which one to make a video on! Also, i have scheduled a demo release for late May. It will include 5 courses, cap levels, a new secret slide, a redesigned Shine City, and the first bowser level.

Progress!
Course 1 Chomp Fields design finished, working on textures, collision, etc.
Course 2 Piranha Plant Gardens Completely redesigning, more detailing....
Course 3 Sky World design about finished, few minor details
Course 4 Icefire Caverns design finished!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe preview coming.....
Course 5 Mt. Lavalava redesigning due to size of level and more detail
Bowser and Shine City, more detail, almost finished
Secret Slide is 0% complete, it will be a difficult, lava related slide because I havent seen a hack with a lava slide!

Post what levels you would like to see whe the next preview comes next week!

advice for good level designs, use the free hand tool in Google Sketchup. That is how i made some of the parts of my first level shown
in the forums, btw, good progress :)

I used free hand in Icefire and put a custom object in it. It is the most detailed level so far. Also, Piranha Plant Gardens design was finished today. It is similar to MarioGame2222's overworld 1.

Cool. I am making a new hack rom as well but may take some time because making custom levels for me is kinda hard. It has to do with the warps and ect.
Shining Stars is back on track with a change in story and courses!! (See first post for all of the new info)

Piranha Plant Gardens is almost 100% complete! I have a few enemies and coins to place, but modeling and texturing is finished. Thanks to Kazeshin for the idea of using cgtextures! Screenshots and a video will come in a few days. Next levels to refine are Chomp Fields and Icefire Caverns. Also, does anyone know of a way to make rain in SM64?

only way, i would know, is to retuxture snow and change it's behavior to fall faster in just one specific level... but i can't find the snowball texture; if anyone has it, i'd write the code.
I did try to make it rain in the past, the unused blizzard environment effect in the Level Importer is a good start (I can't remember if it whites the screen though, I'll probably might recheck it out), I couldn't for the life of me though find the snow texture if it exists inside TT64, it's ether not in there (so you would probably have to find the texture the hard way) or it somehow vertex coloured itself white? (which wouldn't make sense because white is a shade, not a colour).

Maybe there might be a way to locate the texture with a texture ripper emulator plugin like the rice plugin and use that to find the snow texture?

it's invisible, you can set it's collision sphere through bparam.

I think it could be texture 447 in TT64. It is named snow particle. I haven't had the chance to change it yet.

Shining Stars demo release should be coming shortly. TT64 in windows 8 is so slow.:D

Small progress update!
Still on demo courses cause OMG Toads tool 64 is slow in Windows 8. New Preview coming probably within about a week showing Icefire Caverns and maybe even Mt LavaLava. Special bonus if 6000 views are reached!
