For those that play(ed) the survival server that are not in the know; a few months ago the server was reset and started using MC 1.9, the latest release at the time. All was going well until, eventually, for what reason I don't think we'll ever know, my house became a corrupt chunk. Every time I logged on, I could move for about a second before the server closed down for about an hour. I repeated this until I reached my Nether portal, and I could finally escape my house. I made it to The End, where, long story short, I got killed somehow and the server crashed. After that, nobody wanted to seem to take the time to put it back up.
The server, as far as I know, is essentially dead now. eXcavator did something to it, he said on IRC, but I still crash the server when I log onto it, so I don't know what he did and this time I can't even see my surroundings for at least a second - it just kicks me out instantly. Basically, I'm trying to say that we need a new admin, or someone who can manage all of this. Apparently eX and Kieran are too busy at the moment to be able to manage the server, which I understand, but there are other people who used it often that are also being inconvenienced by this.
When I join, I almost always crash the server for reasons unknown, and every now and then I get lucky and actually log on. Of course, none of the admins that I know of are active, ever will become active again, or willing to do anything to fix this or any other issue that has or will arise from the server. I suggest we get a couple or few new admins, that actually have time to manage the server and server related things, as this is apparently not happening. I would be willing to become an admin, not for all the crazy OP or to do power-abusive things, but because I have plenty of free time and I am willing to take the time to fix these and such issues that may happen in the future. Here's a fact: The server will never become as popular as it used to be IF, problems come up that nobody fixes.
Keep us posted on what's going on with the server.
