What tropes apply to your hacks?

If your hack(s) had their own TVTropes article(s) (not just being mentioned under an example of a trope, but an actual works page) what tropes would be listed? Explain if necessary. This isn't meant to be used as an advertisement page.
Kaizo hacks (general)
Platform hell
Save scumming-not just a technique to make the levels more convenient to play through, but a survival technique
Kaizo trap-it would be easier to list which levels don't end with Kaizo traps
Gimmick level
Hard levels, easy bosses-compared to the hellish level you had to endure, the bosses are often relatively easy by comparison
Earworm-any of my hacks that use custom music prolly have at least a few songs that get stuck in your head
Ascended glitch-knowledge of glitches is often required to solve puzzles
Super Mario FML
Early installment weirdness-The only one that's pure vanilla, uses no custom music, patches, or hex-edits, and the levels less carefully and meticulously designed than my other hacks.
Divide by zero-after you beat the last level, which is called that: Today, I divided by zero. FML
Dummied out-there was going to be a level called 'StarClan' that was about star Muncher runs
Mario Must Die
Dungeon bypass-the intended solution of Impossible Palace: roughly 12-13 minutes long. The TAS of it-probably no more than a couple minutes. The TAS of the first level skips several areas by flying under them.
Non-indicative name-Impossible Palace is the easiest level in the game, especially so if you take the shortcut. Plus the fact that it's possible to complete.
Godwin's Law-Hitler mentioned in the prologue
Excuse plot-Hitler and Satan designed these levels, according to the prologue
Hertz Donut
Sadistic choice-the final stage consists of hallways where you must pick two doors that each lead to masochistic platform hell rooms that don't let up.
Crossover-One of the levels features Metroids, and the last level uses a Metroid during the final boss.
Mind screw-the secret exit of Brooklyn Rage
Mooks but no bosses-except for the Wendy fight at the end of the last level
E=MC Hammer (WIP)
-Added alliterative appeal-many of the level names
Mario Must Die 2 (WIP)
Crossover-one level features Metroids
Combo Breaker
Broken streak-hence the hack's name. A non-Kaizo following so many Kaizos.
Excuse plot-My subscribers wanna take Mario back to Kaizo land
Nostalgia level-the prologue looks a lot like the first room of the last stage in MMD
Mooks but no bosses-other than the lone Big Boo fight in the sunken ship level, this trope is pretty much played straight

Well, The Second Reality Project trilogy and An SMWC Production
(two actually) already have articles on TVTropes.

Click the character on the right side of my layout to visit my Discord server and discuss and play and look at and get updates and sneak peeks of the games and other things I'm making.

The authors of these 2 My Little Pony fan games have removed their games from the Internet.
Rise of the Clockwork Stallions has been updated! Download My Little Pony: Rise of the Clockwork Stallions DX: Director's Cut and My Little Pony: Magic Shards now! Spread this link!

I also remember the Devious Four Chronicles having an actual TVTropes page, but it got taken down for some wierd reason. I'd actually like to see another on there... :(
Your layout has been removed.
Well, let's see....

SUPER MARIO BROS. 5 REBORN
Oh, hey! It has a page!

MARIO WANTS HIS LEMONADE
* EXCUSE PLOT - Roy Koopa stole Mario's lemonade and dares him to get it back.
* GREEN HILL ZONE - Green Gardens
* RUINS FOR RUINS' SAKE - Rex Ruins
* LOST WOODS - Wiggler Woods
* PALMTREE PANIC - Sharkbait Shore
* UNDER THE SEA - Marine Mayhem
* SHIFTING SAND LAND - Pokey Plateau
* LETHAL LAVA LAND - Fiery Furrow
* SLIPPY SLIDEY ICE WORLD - Frosty Frolic
* ANTICLIMAX BOSS - Roy isn't all that difficult since he's just the original game's Roy with a couple extra HP.
* ADDED ALLITERATIVE APPEAL - The level names
* LET'S PLAY - They exist, but most either have no commentary or have commentary that's not in English.

MARIO & LUIGI: STARLIGHT ISLAND ADVENTURE
* ADDED ALLITERATIVE APPEAL - The names of the worlds
* XTREME KOOL LETTERZ - Koopa Kove, done for the aforementioned Added Alliterative Appeal
* SHOUT-OUT - The Fortress bosses all make some reference to popular culture. Achmed the Dry Bones is based on Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Maxwell is a nod to Maxwell's Silver Hammer, and Heavy B is named after the late rapper Heavy D.
* DIFFICULTY SPIKE - Happens in World 5, though it's probably tamer than most hacks.
* BREATHER LEVEL - Snowy Summit 3 gives players a break from slipping and sliding around on ice.
* GREEN HILL ZONE - Peaceful Plains
* SHIFTING SAND LAND - Parched Plateau
* MACRO ZONE - Macro Mountain
* LOST WOODS - Fungus Forest. The actual Lost Woods theme plays in the second stage.
* SLIPPY SLIDEY ICE WORLD - Snowy Summit
* UNDERWATER RUINS - Tidal Temples
* LETHAL LAVA LAND - Koopa Kove
* CONTINUITY NOD/SEQUEL HOOK -
The ending blurb after beating Bowser mentions the Kola Kingdom, which happens to be the setting of Super Mario Bros. 5 Reborn

* LET'S PLAY - LPs of this hack are perhaps more common than those for Super Mario Bros. 5 Reborn.
* EENIE MEENIE MINEY MOAI - Common in the first stage of Tidal Temples.
* FUNGUS HUMONGOUS - Macro Mountain 4 has you jumping between them, and there are some in the background of Fungus Forest 2.
* DIVERGENT CHARACTER EVOLUTION - Mario and Luigi handle a bit differently. The latter has a higher standing jump and shoots straight fireballs.
* AUTO-SCROLLING LEVEL - Fungus Forest 2 and Mecha-Bowser's Airship, as well as some segments of certain castles.
Quintesson Judge: Silence, or you will be held in contempt of this court!
Hot Rod: I have nothing but contempt for this court!
- Transformers the Movie (1986)
I think I've made some stuff since 2013 that has tropes.

Mario Must Die 2 (WIP)
Crossover-one level features Metroids

Also:
Sequel Difficulty Spike-much more difficult than its predecessor
The Shelf of Movie Languishment-the creator was hesitant to release it for a while due to a combination of factors, like the levels being soul-sucking to try to test, switching Addmusics, suddenly finding himself preferring a different design style, and procrastination
Marathon level-nearly every level
Breather level-the penultimate level, Gatekeeper
Dummied Out-Some rooms originally meant for the 5th and final stages were never finished or included. There was an entire level that was dummied out of the full game but was only playable in the demo
Sequel episode-I Hate Masks 2 features Phantos and line guides like this other level he made called I Hate Masks, except this one's a bit more intense
Difficulty Spike-Fiscal Cliff is noticeably more difficult than the previous 2 stages, introducing Metroids, coin puzzles, and no-jumping allowed signs

Mario vs the 4th wall
Creator Cameo-A very poor impression due to the creator's limited pixel art abilities and the graphics size being severely insufficient to be anywhere near accurate
No 4th Wall
Series Fauxnale-was set up like the series finale of his Kaizo hacking saga in case his motivation wouldn't pick back up
Marathon level-Consists of 3 long segments (each segment could be its own individual marathon level), followed by a race

Luigi's Breakdown
Green Eyed Monster-Luigi is so jelly of Mario's heroic status he set a trap for him
Dude, where's my respect-a major driving force for the events of this hack
Slippery Slidey Ice World-Hammer Hell
Everything's Better with Spinning-Tornado Tower involves spin jumping for pretty much the duration of the level.
Antihero
Remixed level-the first room of the last level looks like a much harder version of 8-4 in Super Mario Bros. the Lost Levels
Pun Based Title-there are levels called Moltov Cocktail, Water over Yonder, and Juggle Hijinks
Flying Seafood Special-Bloopers are mostly seen floating above dry stages. Only once are they actually found in a water level.

MMD3 (Not too many tropes yet due to it being a WIP)
Gameplay and Story Integration-Savescumming is not only an anti-frustration feature for the player, but it's also a skill that Mario has.
Genre Savvy-The villains are aware that Mario can savescum. How they'll deal with that is anyone's guess.
Wrap-Around-4D Cavern's gimmick, except it uses wrapping from top to bottom
Sequel Difficulty Drop-a rare platform hell example, estimated to be somewhere between its predecessors
Fungus Humongous-the first stage, Platform Antics.
Green Hill Zone-oddly enough, the 4th stage is the first instance of this
Spikes of Doom-played straight in the form of spike balls instead of the skull blocks that most Kaizo hacks seem to use
Wall jump-uses this NSMB-style

MMD series as a whole
Once an episode-Each hack has an early game level that uses Megaman music as well as a mildly amusing coin message somewhere.
Sequel escalation- The first hack was mostly vanilla and mostly doable without slowdown by patient, superhuman players. The second hack is much more difficult and requires a greater amount of precision, places that disable jumping, and features more complex and devious end-level Kaizo traps. The third hack, while mostly not as difficult or lengthy overall, will have a greater amount of levels, way more bosses, jumping disabled in places yet again in addition to places with another crucial function disabled, and some unorthodox methods of trolling the player.
Excuse Plot-The first 2 hacks deal with Hitler and Satan being Bowser's aides. MMD3’s plot is slightly less of an excuse plot.
Officially Shortened Title-The creator prefers to type the base title shorthand rather than the full name

A few for now, I'll add more later lol.

General

Cyborg/Robot Girl: K-16

Cult: Eclipse is part of the Lunar Cult.

Asexuality: Sicari herself.

Kid Hero: Sicari and Anna.

Canon Discontinuity - The original hack, thanks to Sicari Remastered.

Classical Movie Vampire: The siblings Crimson and Scarlet Sanguis.

K-16 - Story of Steel:

Space Station: They replace the castles in this hack.

Politically Incorrect Villain: Titan; His main motivation for fighting K-16 is because he hates robots.

Villain's Dying Grace:
Scarlet.

Sequel Difficulty Spike: Nuff said.

Single-Biome Planet: Most of the planets you go to. Arcteit went from one single-biome planet, a water world to another, as it was said to have frozen over.

Ghost Planet: Brambiir, which despite having no intelligent life, hosts a large man-built temple.

Sicari Remastered

Unexpected Gameplay Change: The fact that K-16, Anna, Gracie and Eclipse are playble despite not being so in the original hack.

Art Evolution: In the original hack, the characters were more chibi like, with large heads, small bodies and stubby limbs. This is no longer the case.

Retcon: Pretty much the entire hack towards the original.

God of Evil/Jerkass Gods: Niscura, who is invading the mortal world, believing she has more of a right to it than the other deities.

Mission from God: Sicari is on one, set forth by Resa, the goddess of life.
All my hacks: Bad design because there's no a e s t h e t i c *triggered*

Any normal level I try to create: Way too hard for people who don't play SMW hacks all day
Development Hell.

I actually had a list of tropes that appear in my hacks, but it's a bit of a moot point when I haven't finished any, no?

----------------

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
I don't know an awful lot of tropes by name, but I assume one that applies to my current hack will be "Scenery Porn". "Shout-Out", too, because some level names are references to song titles. (Eventually, anyway.)

Also Development Hell unfortunately.

Yoshiatom's Post
Development Hell? I think you'll find that Vapourware is a far more fitting trope for me...

I wonder what would suit Mario's Drug Trip,if it had a their own TV Tropes article.

I guess nothing.

Even tho it's a YMMV item, What do you mean it wasn't made on drugs for sure, especially the final level as well as the 'House of Drugs' preview. Mind screw, Gravity Screw, Guide Dang It, Marathon Level, and Shout Out (for the Sans fight reference) also come to mind.

Some of those could fit your hacks in general, not just MDT.

Nintendo Hard: Duh. Anyone who follows my romhacking history will get the idea.
Checkpoint Starvation:
Happens on occasions, but is mainly a prevalent issue in Colossus. The last two levels (not counting the final bosses), A and L, can last at the very least 10 minutes long between a checkpoint/goal point. If you know the right way through those levels! Otherwise, you could even be walking in a circle!

Marathon Level:
Often occurs in the final levels of my romhacks. To name a few, there's the Generator Zone and the Leviathan in The Way of the M, the Norleras in Infinity Edge, the last two Colossus levels which are also by far the most labyrinthine, and the Fort levels in Bits and Pieces. However, the final final Bits and Pieces level, the Annihilator, takes the record by a landslide. Spread over two level tiles is a 200+ screen level that revisits nearly everything from the entire hack.

Development Hell:
Colossus's expected release date was pushed back by almost half a year because of how difficult it was to build and test the game's hardest levels. As of now, Variety Slumber is slumbering. But Skullpepper has yet to have two worlds done despite starting in December 2014!

Shout Out: There are too many for me to list right off the bat. Variety Slumber will only increase that number.
So far, it has a level that references Minecraft (the extreme hills biome and the sliverfish you could find there), and to a few common tropes in SMW hacking, such as Iggy always being the first boss you fight. Effectively lampshaded in this hack, because Iggy simply refuses to fight you, knowing he'll lose.

Help me add more, this is pretty fun.
A trope that was heavily prevalent in all of my romhacking endeavors was the "Silent Protagonist" trope. For whatever reason, I could never get voice acting to work for my projects.
Sturgeon's Law and Lost Forever for sure. Right now I'm working on learning the most I can so my next hacks don't fit in this.
