A small issue I noticed...

I have been making a kaizo level for YI, which I think will be finished by tomorrow. However, I noticed a strange bug: if you place a double-ended mace on the first vertical column of the level, the game crashes upon loading the level. Does anybody know why this occurs? I figured this might be interesting...

Your layout has been removed.
Assuming you're using the correct sprite set, the game might be getting confused as to how to handle a double-edged mace object spawning partially outside the level's boundaries, then throwing up its metaphorical hands, saying "screw it", and just freezing everything.
I have encountered a massive problem after using the sprite set editor. Although I can now make my own sprite sets the "universal sprite set" is now disfigured and full of fuzzy bits. The affected sprites include the !Switches, Morph Bubbles, Hootie the Blue Fish, and the Bitmap 0FA Flowers. I am currently looking to re-download another rom but would like to know what happened and if there is a chance to fix it, since I had already made the sprite sets through 3-8.
Technically, the only thing the Sprite Set Editor does is changing the GFX Files to use for each Sprite Set. It is possible to select some Indexes, which are located out of range, so that Global Sprites get messed up if a certain Sprite Set is used. Try using this tool on your ROM in order to see, if everything is alright. In case the tool says, everything is fine, but you still have problems, you can PM me with the IPS patch for your ROM and I can look into it and see what I can do, if you want.

Aside from that, be advised, that posting in a thread that has been inactive for ~4 months is bumping => bad!

Thanks for the tip! I do remember a warning popping up when I went out of bounds using my first ROM. Now I'm careful not to go out of bounds again.
