Xbox One - Microsoft's new console

PS4 will suck shit, too. I'm glad I'm a PC gamer. I can run all of it in emulators. #fim{:D}

Why do you think the PS4 is going to suck shit when we really don't know much about it and what it can do.

So did anyone watch the reveal yesterday? How underwhelming was that?
So what did they talk about?

- You turn on the console by saying "Xbox on". Yeah, because pressing a power button is so difficult. #ab{-_-}
- You can watch TV on your console and use a TV guide. You can speak what channel you want to watch. Why would I care?
- Ooh, Halo is getting a TV series. REALLY?! #smw{-_-2}
- New IP announced. It's called Quantum Break. However, the trailer was crap and we didn't see any gameplay.
- 15 exclusives coming. 8 of them to be new IPs. I wonder how many of these will be fucking shooters!
- Forza 5 announced. *yawn*
- Call of Duty Ghosts shown off. Oh great, timed exclusive DLC. Wow, it has DOGS! Oh and fish that move out the way when you go near them.
Oh yes, day 1 purchase! [/sarcasm]

Oh and there is also a FEE to play pre-owned games.

Yeah, I think I WON'T be buying this.

Mod edit: Chopped off table stretch.

Design for Xbox: The thing looks terrible. especially the Kinect. Where is the power button for the console, anyway?

Xbox On feature: If it can detect "Xbox On," then the thing will never really be off unless unplugged...

TV Via Xbox and voice activated channel switching: I can do so much more with that remote for the TV...

Halo TV series: Like SMB3.

Quantum break: "No gameplay footage; no buy"

15 exclusives, probabaly going to be shooters: Not all exclusives are especially good, anyway.

Forza 5: People play Forza?

CoD Ghosts DLC: Now we have do dish out even more for these games. Damn.

Fee to play pre-owned games: What kind of bullcrap is that? Does it want to lose Xbox 360 gamers?
There is nothing interesting here. Carry on.

The 1.40 million people who bought Forza Horizon would say so.
Oh, good grief! #smw{-_-2}

OK, there is no fee for used games or lending them to a friend but:

1. Loaning games can only be done with friends that have been on your friends' list for at least 30 days and each game can only be loaned ONCE.
2. To play games offline you have to connect to the internet EVERY 24 hours to update the system. If you are logged into your account on a separate console you have to do that EVERY HOUR!

All I can say to that is... FUCK OFF! #smw{>:|}
I have three words to say to that: Seal blubber.

Also, I have one word to say about the reason Microsoft is being all extreme like this: Megaupload
Let's milk Sunny Milk. Then she'll have enough money to fund Sunny Milk Real Estate.
Everypony's digging with a shovel
Microsoft have confirmed that the Xbox One will need to connect to the internet every 24 hours (or every hour if logged onto another console).

I think it's safe to say that I WILL NOT be buying an Xbox One!

They also posted about it on their news site:

With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.

Fuck off!

Yeah, I definitely know that I will never buy a Xbox One.
Wait, you need to connect to the internet to play OFFLINE? Um...Microsoft...I think your logic.exe just encountered a fatal error.
don't click this link...
I just watched some online rants: I'm no Xbox Fan, however I can say: I don't enjoy the games at all (I have one Xbox 360 in my room lend from a friendly girl)

But I have to say: If you, Xbox Fans, want that the company atleast admire there mistakes(the whole "big brother" console thing) and everything,
simply don't buy the console.
Yes I know, you can't play your favourite game which you maybe could enjoy, but think about it: Maybe you'll get eventually some awesome XBox console in the future .

/Just my 2 cents, I'm actually a Nintendo Fanboy, but atleast I can say, that I tried the games on a XBox. :PP The controller from the Xbox 360 is amazing btw.

I just have no fucking words for this! What the heck is Microsoft on?!
Why is everyone sucking Sony's dick for dissing Microsoft on stage? Are we rewarding them for being less shitty than their competitor? Did no one notice:

Cool, so instead of having to pay to play used games, you have to pay to play online multiplayer. That's not shitty at all.
Xbox has this, too, so it's not like this is an advantage for Microsoft. Nintendo's free internet isn't exactly justifiable either considering how disinterested Nintendo seems to be with online play. Not to mention Playstation Plus comes with other features:

...so it's not like you're just getting online multiplayer out of it.

To be fair it's a stupidly cheap cost for the PS4 online subscription, besides, it's not like it's the first time a console has had paid online services. Happens all the time.

If microsoft is continuing with their regular prices of Xbox live during the Xbox one (they've increased over the years, i cannot determine/know if they will by then as well), then a 3-Month membership for Xboxlive will be $25 ($8.33 per month), but a Year membership is only $50 (which actually around roughly around $4.17 a month). But this is assuming that Sony won't be doing something similar, which I also do not know if they plan on doing so. For the most part, i'm still interested in the PS4 for that i pay for services monthly instead of yearly deals, in which paying for the PS4's online is cheaper.

EDIT: On the Xbox.com website, you can buy a 1-month membership for $10 (9.99), and apparently buying the yearly membership on the site is $60!

(also a little side note, i just saw the front page of Xbox.com and they title it as "All this for as low as $5 per month.", we should keep in mind that Sony MIGHT pull the same shit)

It does. And it's stupid every time, especially in Sony's case where it used to be free.
You're right. Sony who are already selling their system at a substantial loss should just run the servers on thin air.

I'm really not bothered about the PS+ membership requirement for online multiplayer. I don't even do multiplayer often anyway. The real plus is that you get 3 FREE games every month.
I got 3 years of PS+ back in March for £55 when GAME were selling a year for £20. In case anyone is wondering, there was a voucher for £5 off a £50+ spend.
