Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

Also it's portable.
Your layout has been removed.
I'll probably only get the WiiU version. I'm really not fond of the split game idea and personally would've preferred the main game to be WiiU exclusive and the 3DS getting a non-canon game.

That being said, I'm sure the 3DS game will still be fun regardless and smash bros. on the go is still a good idea.

That Metroid looks like shit, though. Seriously! We had better looking Metroids on the GameCube!

What Metroid are you looking at exactly? That's an HD Metroid if I've ever seen one. Looks great.

Even though I've never played Metroid, I'll side with you. #smw{:TUP:}
I really need a layout. :<
Nevertheless, the veins look like they were just painted on the texture, which looks horrible. It doesn't look at all like how a Metroid is supposed to look. And what does HD have to do with anything?
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
So apparently this Nintendo Direct will also be announcing the rough launch window of the game. Dunno if Sakurai mentioned that on Miiverse (since I haven't been watching that too closely), but if not, now you know.
I should get a new layout.

Probably won't, though.

I guess you've never seen one then....

So much hate.

Opinions are a bitch, aren't they?

They're right, though...the Metroid's veins DO look painted-on and not 3D at all, which is a bit low quality. They also don't look HD like the rest of the Metroid.

Although at the same time, I guarantee that in-game, no one will be able to tell because the game won't be that close to a Metroid.

I will agree with that, but like you said, the camera probably won't get that close in-game, so it doesn't matter that much. It's like how rendering distant mountains is much easier to do with a single texture than with models, especially if the camera's always about 50m away from them (or further).

No one bothered to point out that the texture just stops near the bottom of the gel part. It's going to be small in game, so I don't think anyone's going to care.

Anyway, h1pe 4 direct.
When is the OP going to be revised with the new character roster?

Wow! Project Smash Attacks is becoming OFFICIAL!

Do you know about that move set editor for Super Smash Bros. Brawl hacking called Project Smash Attacks or PSA for short? I got involved with playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl mods. PSA, or move set, mods are my favorite type of Super Smash Bros. Brawl mods. I love them so much that I decided to try to make a move set. I started looking for PSA tutorials a few days ago.

After watching the new Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct, I won't need to learn about Project Smash Attacks! After watching the Nintendo Direct, I was absolutely ASTOUNDED! Apparently you'll be able to mod character move sets OFFICIALLY IN SUPER SMASH BROS. 4! Oh my god! PSAs are my favorite type of Super Smash Bros. Brawl hack, and now they're becoming official! I'm so amazed!

Man, you'll be able to do everything that Project Smash Attacks is able to do in Super Smash Bros. 4. I'll be seeing remakes of my favorite Super Smash Bros. Brawl PSAs, except now those Super Smash Bros. Brawl mods will be official! I even have ideas for a Charizard PSA. Well, instead of making it with Project Smash Attacks, why not make the Charizard PSA with Super Smash Bros. 4?

So what do you guys think about being able to officially make PSAs in Super Smash Bros. 4?

Click the character on the right side of my layout to visit my Discord server and discuss and play and look at and get updates and sneak peeks of the games and other things I'm making.

In my circle of friends, I totally called this. They'll flip to know that moveset editing is officially in the game now. That being said, this certainly isn't done to the degree that I had envisioned (generally being drastically different moves instead of modifications of the move's properties), and certainly isn't done to the degree of Project Smash Attack. That's probably for the best, as nobody would want to deal with a maelstrom of hitboxes with every press of a button.

It's a shame that you cannot bring these changes online though, even through For Fun mode. Even if they are relatively simple changes between moves, they may bring an incredible amount of depth in characters mixing all sorts of moves (even if a definitive set will likely arise over time for every character).

Actually, you CAN bring them online, but only if you play with friends. This makes sense- if you're playing with random people, you will NEVER know how peoples' moves will act, but with friends, you can eventually know what to expect. Some people will pick different properties each time, but most will probably stick to what they like the most or what meshes best with their playstyle, so it won't be so much of a guessing game.

I wasn't really that hyped for Smash Bros. And actually had me in doubt that the game would be released this year considering Brawl was delayed. But I guess they do have consderable progress and we can definitely see a finished game sooner than expected.

What sucks is that the 3DS version will come first. It won't be as great as the console version for sure but at least the content is almost entirely different. And since both versions have the same roster, we are gonna know the entire roster for the Wii U version before it's out. Which sorta kills the hype for me, since I was mostly looking forward for the Wii U version. Hopefully the content involving connecting both games will be worth it.

And there seems to be a lot of people worried that Ness and Captain Falcon aren't gonna be in the game. Well, in the press photo set you can clearly see Mr. Saturn returning as an item. The Franklin Badge is in, too. And we saw Samurai Goroh in the direct, so I'm 100% sure they are still in. Like really, the only character you should be concered about not being in is Snake, since Kojima seems to not be involved according to a recent interview (but both Kojima and Sakurai seem to love making elaborate ruses so...).

The press kit also showed some Namco bits in. Such as a Galaga assist trophy and the Special Flag. So I'm sure a Namco rep has to be in somehow, considering they are playing a big part in developing the game.

I'm sure we wont be seeing any more actual new things about Smash till E3. But at least it's not that far away. Just 2 more months.
Yaay! 5 new charachters!
Now the characters:
Sheik (as selectable character)
Zero Suit Samus (as selectable character)
Yoshi
Charizard (still don't know if he's part of the pokemon trainer or selectable)
and...
Greninja??
I'm guessing E3 is going to be the victory lap, where the last couple things are revealed to bring up the hype. Who knows, they might reveal Pacman as the very last character.

The OP should be updated in a bit, I redid it and somehow lost it. I'll update the stage list as well (Jungle Japes, Balloon Fight, and Halberd revealed, with other stages getting official titles)
