Tip: If you place a moon, midpoint, or dragon coin through Map16, it will always respawn whenever you reenter that sublevel. It will not respawn if you add it through the Add Objects/Extended Objects window.
I've been working on a hack of my own very slowly but surely for a while now. And it's been progressing alright.
Here's some screens:
This is World 2.
This is how World 2 looks when there are only secret exits left to get. Here it's quite easy to tell where they probably are. Secret exit paths also look a bit different than normal exit paths.
This is 2-4, an airship level. The 'M' is one of filve letter coins that spell 'Mario'. Inspired off of DKC.
Here's how the normal exit looks. (Just touching the flag finishes the level.)
Secret Exit flags are Red, like in NSMB.
I've come a long way so far.
But before I go any further I've been wanting to get caught up in crediting people for the things I've been using in the hack (ExGFX, Sprites, Patches, etc.). I've taken down most of the names but I'm stuck on the sprites. As I'm having trouble finding out who made them or even If I'm allowed to use them. This is where I need some help.
I'm quite sure there's a few of mikeyk's sprites that I missed, as well as some by MiOr. And I know there are a handful of them that come from a japanese hack named STARSW I believe, but I'm not 100% sure who made them or If I'm allowed to use them.
Here's the list of Sprites (The number just represents where I placed them in the rom):

Well that's the whole list.
One last question. When I downloaded SpriteTool v1.35, along with all the sprites came a handfull of tilemaps for them. Are all those by mikeyk? Or by anyone else, or lot of people? Just want to make sure so I can credit everyone appropriately for the GFX as well.
