Sounds in bank $00:1DFC

24 Is actually the POW finishing sound.

26 Is actually the Swooper Sound, when he comes off the roof.

3A Is the Yoshi eating Sound.

44 is the sound of Big Boo appearing, and Reznor's fireballs (I think)

4E is the noise the chainsaw/Grinder makes.

59 Is the Blargg appearing from Lava Sound.

I think there may be others, but I will edit it if I find anything new.
Is there a level music value?
$00:1DFB

But AFAIK only not-custom music works with it.
Your layout has been removed.
The level music is stored in $7E:1DFB, not $00:1DFC.

Whoops! *edits it*

1DFB is Overworld music.

AFAIK, you're both right. It's OW music on the OW and title screen (unless you hex edited something), but it's level music in the other levels. The credits has a third set of tunes, and I think the seven castle destruction sequences uses the level set. This is done by uploading new tunes to the SPC700 whenever you go to another of the three banks, not sure whether other data gets uploaded too (there's not much sound effects in the OW/credits, so it's propably the same there).

(Note: I'm only 95% sure about this, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong somewhere)

You know when you stomp on the Charging Chuck and what sound it makes? Well, I want to know if it's in the SPC list: 1DFC; 1DF9; or 1DFA?

It's the "Boss hurt/stomped" sound.
Not that one, the one when you stomp at it, the sound from SMB.3.

That's not a regular SMW sound. That comes with the SMB3 music patch.
Don't you mean sound $02 of $7E:1DF9?

Thanks, that must be it. I'll try it out on a sprite.
Hmm...I wish the overworld sound bank were documented. I'd like to know what the event revealing sound effect is, what value I load and where I store it to produce that sound effect.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.

The same sound effects are always present in SPC RAM, meaning they can be used anywhere in the game.

Sound $#15 of $1DFC plays repeatedly when the paths are revealed, and sound $#01 of $1DFC plays when a level spot appears.
In bank $1DF9, sound effect 10 is also the "appear" sound effect (like when Magikoopa or the Big Boo Boss appears), and 23 is the sound of the Big Boo Boss falling offscreen.

Sorry for bumping, but I'm looking for a sound I couldn't find in one of the banks, does anyone know which bank the beep sound (you know, the one that comes up when you touch a level tile on the overworld map) is in? I've been looking for it, but haven't found it yet.
