We've been having a lot of heatwaves lately, in the range of ~30°C which is awesome because you can actually enjoy going outside doing stuff. Hope it keeps up this way for longer, there's nothing better than a cool beer while chilling with a few friends.
Living in Central Florida for a good chunk of my life, it's really bizarre seeing people mortified about 30°C / 87°F temperatures, considering that 35+°C / 95+°F is a fact of life in the summertime. It's probably just about as odd to me as temperatures in the 4.4°C-10°C / 40-50°F range in the wintertime being seen as intolerably cold is to you all. Humidity is not easy to get used to, however. Fight the good fight if you're victimized to it.
You know, this has been a very hot week in Holland with temperatures reaching 30°C, which is pretty rare here. Unfortunately, my room is on the south, so the sun is directly shining in it for at least 7 hours a day (dmn you big window). Eventually, I slept on my balcony tonight after 2 hours of trying to fall asleep in the heat. Pretty great actually.
So yeah, Houston weather is as derpy as it always is. It was snowing last night despite a few days earlier being 80°F. It's like Texas just ignores seasons entirely and chooses which days will be hot, and which will be freezing.
