I only use ZSNES rarely so no support for it.

--------------------
Okay, my layout looks ugly.
While ZSNES is my prefered emulator, I wouldn't mind using SNES9x for several other occations.

I honestly don't know why you're asking such a question, considering about 88% of the people on this site hate ZSNES as much as the stereotypical little boy hates broccolli. People hate ZSNES with a passion here. I say go all out and maximize your SA-1 chip to it's fullest. If people can't use a more accurate emulator, than they can't. That's all there is to it.

I vote absolutely no ZSNES support if that means you giving something up.
Option 1 is good enough for me as this is seeming to turn out to be a complex hack. I actually use ZMZ for the moment but if it isn't compatible with that either for whatever reason, I have no problem with using snes9x. Option 2 is a mere acceptable from me but I am leaning towards option 1. Option 3 is a no from me.
I rarely use any emulators other than ZSNES, but I don't see why not to use the first option. That way no other things will get glitched for people who use other emulators, and I wouldn't mind using snes9x at all if things turn out to be incompatible later (first option seems more likely to be choosen since it turns out to be a main choice for the people).

I vote for option #1. If something can function on the real SNES, why should you have to make accomodations for something that can't replicate the SNES properly despite its namesake as an "emulator"? Furthermore, is it really worth dumbing down your product and not making it your vision just to support ZSNES? Would you even have fun making something that way when it's not exactly what you want it to be?

Just look above you...
If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
Well, I did ask about this because according a poll some time ago, 65% of SMWC prefers ZSNES over other emulators. Plus, all LPs I saw the LPer was using ZSNES.

But whatever, I guess I will do #1 and throw a warning on startup saying that the game doesn't support ZSNES.

Note that ZMZ will work perfectly, as well snes9x, no$sns, bsnes and its derivatives (higan, etc).

Thanks for the suggestions.

Oh well, something that I was pessimist about working with ZSNES was Reiuji Utsuho's battle arena (PNG image if you want for some reason, also ignore the glitch on GIF image, it's because of the program I used). No, SA-1 doesn't rotate anything, it's mode 7, but since I have to change mode 7 frame mid-frame and work with windowing hdma for the 128x128 bullets, I doubt ZSNES would work without running at like, 30 fps in-game >_>

Alright, for your poll I will say the first option would be the best, as long as it's included with the description. I mean, I use ZSnes (mostly because it's the first one I used), but for the 5 seconds it would take to go download something (Ex. BSnes) I would rather it work to it's full potential. Let's compare here: Compatability with a current emulator but many problems (and potentially a non-existent change that I kinda see as needed for a hack such as this), or 5 seconds to get a new emulator and no issues whatsoever.

To be fair, 30 FPS is the maximum the eye can see ANYWAY (Seriously, anything above that no longer matters. You see the same as you would at 60, and 120 FPS), so if that's the only issue that would arise then I don't see any problems and kinda see this poll mundane. But if it would cause more problems than that, then yeah don't worry about ZSnes Compatability, just make sure to add a sort of footnote or something to let players know they need something that isn't ZSnes.

Heh, you got the cat. I still have no idea what that is doing there (and it's in PCB too... what is up with that cat? #thp{O_O1})

So remember kids! If you ever get caught having tosave a princess from a foreign land after getting dragged down a drain pipe, jumping while spinning in a circle can help you greatly by allowing you to jump on spinning saw blades, ghosts, and allow you to control your jump better!

Except 30 FPS on SMW is actually making the game 2x slower and not making it skip a frame per second.

I'm used to use zsnes to make let's plays, but if necessary, I can change to zmz (some games like dkc2 requires this change). I prefer the first option because it will make the game better, and we can use other emulators anyway.

Indeed! #smw{:TUP:}
I want more a high quality hack, I dont care about Emulator, because,
there are various Emulators,and I think ZMZ can handle it, right?
only one thing what zmz doesnt do is:Record movies and dumping it.
Well, but if I can play an Awesome hack in all your potential,
I dont care about emulator, just do the best
for the gamers who love to play games
like me and the most of members of SMWCentral

Keep Working guys, #peace #smw{:peace:}
I am a person that uses ZSNES and Snes9x just lacks in quality for me, but I could change if the emulator(s) really can't handle the assembly inserted into the hack.
Thanks for your opinion, guys, we decided to use SA-1 at its full power (u don't say?).
As payback, I found some time to finally share...

And finally we get into what the word "Lunatic" means: Elite Koopas, spell circles and tricky level design will be here. Will Mario be able to get to Nue Houju's true form?

This is turning out quite nice. I like the use of the Elite Koopas. Looking forward to seeing more!
Just passing by. Noticed some of the samples are detuned-- you should probably fix that, or get somebody to help you with it if you can't.
Looks nice, but I think it's something I'm going to have to see in motion to make a full judgement.

What song? Which sample?
Without that information we can't guess what song need improvement.

Looks very nice.
I believe that elite koopas will bring to this level the same difficult of the original game, witch is very good.

Looking forward, as always.

Both songs, and many samples. The piano is very high pitched in comparison to the music box, and the strings are very low compared to the music box and VERY low compared to the piano. The music box is the only one that seems to be correctly tuned as it doesn't clash with SMW's samples.

Thanks for the feedback, we're going to edit both the tracks for sure.
Anyway yesh, speaking of ports, all the SPCs posted here are WIPs. For the final projects, almost all songs will be redone from scratch. As example, I'd show this, which was still a WIP when showed Stage 2, and made this new version, which I think it's closer to the final version. Both sound very different each other, and that's because I learned a lot of new tricks and evolved more since the sillier version. I'm actually still learning, so that's why I need lots of feedback~
Welp, it's been a while without update... Sorry for not posting anything, the project is been going a little slow due of lack of motivation...

Anyway, I'm here now to show some screenshots of one of the bonus stages: Tenshi's level.

As you can see, the level is simply an grassland level but the ground's color is yellow! This level is harder than other levels and that will be the base difficult of the bonus stages. Also if you noticed, the number of sprites on screen increased slightly on this level. Mario will be climbing the level (initially horizontal, then later the level gets vertical) until he gets to the heaven and battle with Tenshi.

That's all. I'd love some feedback from anyone! Specially if I'm a good screenshot taker =w= #thp{:>}

Music:
With exception of the first one, the ports are still pretty WIP. Detailed feedback would be appreciated.
