I'd love for the final level to be called "Lunar Magic"!

I like where you're going with Lunaria so far, although a bit of a nitpick would be the "hot spots" in HOT OVER HERRE looks more like blood to me, so you might want to make it spread more and have it glow orange.

That's my 16-bit arrangement of Spark Man's theme.

8-1: Nice. Mario games could use more industrial-themed areas in my opinion. Did you ever do anything with those alternate-colored Mechakoopas?
8-2: I like the looks of this one, though Heat Man's theme is a bit short for the length of the level. Nice graphic swap for the skull raft, too...why don't I ever think of doing that?
8-3: Pretty good. I remember that background. Think you'll use some Layer 3 smashers (graphically swapped) next time you do a crushing-themed factory level?
8-S: This one should be interesting with the laser-based gimmicks.
9-1: Ooh, this level looks cool.
9-2: Interesting combination of themes...I don't think I've ever seen a fire/space combo before.
9-3: Huh, reminds me of a similar thing I had in mind for the 12 Days of Christmas level design contest. I'll have to see more of how this one plays out.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
@imamelia: I won't be using any Layer 3 smashers as I find them a bit too limited and difficult to work around. All smashers will be on Layer 2 since that's a bit more flexible.

As of yesterday, I finished two more levels, plus the little Bonus Battle accessed through the secret exit in 9-3.

LUNARIA FORTRESS - UFO BOMBER'S FORTRESS

This fortress starts off with a vertical auto-scrolling tower full of explosive enemies.

Giant Bomb Bros, like their smaller cousins, will throw Bob-Ombs at you, but like Sledge Bros, they also shake the ground when landing from a jump.

The second section has you riding a rocket through an obstacle course riddled with evil stars. If you hit ANYTHING, the rocket will explode, and you'll lose a life!

METAL SECRET 2 - POLLUTED PASSAGE

The water here is so polluted that you can only swim in it for a limited time.

Here's a nice dry section, but don't think there won't be obstacles!

In this room, the polluted water rises and falls, and there are Torpedo Teds to dodge.

Solid progress as expected from you. Looks promising and better than the old SMB5 reborn.

I will definitely try this when it is finished.
Lunaria Fortress seems interesting so far - I haven't seen vertical scrolling levels very often, and it seems to be pretty well designed. I'm also interested on the rocket part, as it's hard to see those done well (usually they're either unfair or just boring).

Metal Secret 2 also looks great. The main FG graphics seem a bit flat, but they are nicely decorated so it seems fine. The level also looks pretty fun from what I can see so nice work!
I tried to make that rocket section as fair as possible. It still requires some pretty precise taps of the B Button to avoid falling to your death or hitting the ceiling.

I just finished making the penultimate level of this hack, so it's time to show it off.

METAL FORTRESS - MASTER MECHA-KOOPA'S FORTRESS

Most of your time in here will be spent on conveyor belts, avoiding Grinders, spikes, and Mecha-Koopas.

Mecha-Koopa-generating ceiling pipes are another common obstacle in this level.

In the second room, crushers are thrown into the mix. Thankfully, nothing on this screen will crush you.

The metallic part of the ceiling over here WILL though.

Here's Master Mecha-Koopa. He spits Bowser Statue fireballs and drops Grinders onto the conveyor belt he's fought on. The conveyor belt is supposed to switch directions at regular intervals based on the ON/OFF switch, but the auto-switcher I have inserted doesn't seem to be doing its job. I should probably change his palette too.

BONUS BATTLE #4 - VS. SUPER SLEDGE

I didn't show this off last time, but I figured I should show it off now. This is the only place in the entire game where you can get a 3-UP Moon.

Youhou the hack is verry good !
Thanks, mamlazizou.

Well, the time has come. It's taken about 16 months to get to this point.

*drumroll*

THE FINAL LEVEL!

MECHA-BOWSER'S CASTLE!

The first room has you dodging fireballs while avoiding fire pillars, crushers, spikes, and this one Grinder.

Next, you scale a tower with some Layer 2 Horizontal Scroll action. Originally, there was going to be a Bowser Statue Fire generator going in here, but that made this a little TOO difficult.

Getting close now! Time to make tricky jumps while avoiding fireballs that are actually being AIMED at you!

Wait...Didn't he do this on the Airship in Starlight Island Adventure?

After destroying the bridge Mecha-Bowser's standing on and falling through the resulting hole, you'll realize that the rogue robot was just getting warmed up!

Remember how the Mecha-Bowser fight was incredibly anti-climactic in Super Mario Bros. 5 Reborn? Well, this battle will make up for that. Mecha-Bowser will either charge at you or launch a barrage of sparks in your direction. He can only be damaged by the Throw Blocks that conveniently fall down from the hole in the ceiling every few seconds.

I have a beta IPS ready that I'll post in the beta tester thread.

Great to see this is finally done! The hack looks amazing overall and I really look forward to playing it. The final levels also seem good, they seem very well made and I couldn't find any major issue on those screens. I'd like to see something to differentiate that boss Mecha-Koopa from the normal ones, though.

Agreed. Maybe making it another color?

This is still looking great. I'm a bit busy trying to get through the bonus worlds in another hack, but I hope to see this hack out soon!
I've edited the boss Mecha-Koopa to be red, so that screenshot is now outdated.

9-F: Nice palettes, especially the background (that HDMA gradient is very pretty). I take it the rocket is a GFX swap of yoshicookiezeus's rocket barrel sprite?
8-S2: Nice gimmick...I suppose I don't know what else to say about this one.
8-F: I like the combination of factory and castle graphics here.
8-C: Again, I like the palettes and graphical combination. Good use of the Layer 2 Sideways Scroll sprite, too.

So, you're finally finished with the hack...good work! I'd be happy to NOT TELL YOU beta-test it once you put it up for testing.

@imamelia and Mario Hacks. I have the beta IPS in my Dropbox. Captain Savage will be doing a combination LP and beta test of the hack. He was confused by the request for testing on bsnes/Accuracy though, and it appears he uses ZSNES judging by his LPs. Well, I'll be able to see how the hack works in that emulator since I only use snes9x unless I absolutely need ZSNES. Still, multiple testers might be a good idea.

I'l just put this here.

Well you test this on bsnes and snes9x i think this is ridiculous but you test on snes9x of android

Actually, I DON'T test in bsnes because my computer's a bit too underpowered for it. Also, I don't have any Android devices of my own, and I don't think my stepdad would really want me messing around on his tablet.
