some hacks May have compatibility issues with certain emulators How do I setup snes9x or other emulators to remedy the situation?
how do fix I hacks so they are compatible with snes9x they work fine until I get past the title screen then black screen?
I found out it's easier than I thought. You just have to apply this patch with Asar so it removes all AM4 hijacks and has less chances of crashing (shoutouts to SimFan96 for assistance in #music!). As always, be sure to keep a backup of your ROM so you don't lose progress.

I got my hack from zandro's smwdb so what smw patch do I need to download and where or how do I make the asm any tutorial video would help?
Now I'm lost. What do you mean?

Which hack you downloaded? You don't need to make any ASM to my knowledge unless you want to overhaul it.

Is the hack actually yours or someone else's?

I'll echo this then since that hack crashes on the intro screen (with emulators other than ZSNES, no less)

Just so you know here's an option in Snes9x and bsnes that allows for older hacks to be playable in their current form. In Snes9x i's under "Hacks" and bsnes it's under "compatibility"
so what do I do snes9x when I'm in emulator hacks?
You can set it up like this, The separate echo buffer is what will make games not crash due to the music. Also i't not fully advised but setting the CPU overclock to low can fix glitches related to graphic flickering however it can throw off so timing based stuff.

i'm trying to fix or update old games that result a black screen past the title screen for modern emulators
Well one issue with black screen is music, another which I recently found out about and honestly have no clue how'd you fix this is some hacks for example A haunted Christmas crash on 64-bit emulators. Zsnes is a 32-bit emulator, snes9x has both 32 and 64 options however bsnes is only 64-bit. So well good luck.
Which are some recommended hacks featuring postgame content/secret worlds like Star/Special World in SMW?
