I'm looking for one to use as an 'act as' for my depowerator machine.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Map16 is only for layers 1 and 2.

Haha okay I'll admit when I don't know what I'm talking about.

It is often that I see hacks with objects that depower Mario when he passes through them. These objects are usually in layer 3 so you don't see the non-animated small-making.

I was just wondering how people do this. I've made the depower block, but I can't figure out how to put it in layer 3.

You mean how they go above of Mario? This isn't layer 3, they're still on layer 1, just that the tile have got priority enabled (you can do ths on). Layer 3 in SMW is generally only used for the Status Bar and occasionally for backgrounds (layer 2 levels) and foreground. And out of those foregrounds, only two of them are interactive: Tides (which does use Map16 but only for interaction) and the smasher (which is a more classical hitbox). Anything else is layer 3 only decorative.

Your confusion stems very likely from the fact that those tiles would be placed on different layers in modern game engines. However, the priority system on the SNES can't be really compared to multiple layers and are closer to not really flexible sprites than a solid layer.

Does there exist a patch that would allow the coin trail ? block, to always respawn as the coin trail (rather than just a regular coin block) when re-entering the level such is the case when taking a reset door/pipe?

Is there a (SA-1 compatible) Bowser's Statue fireball generator? As in one that generates fireballs left or right in a stationary position, like Bullet Bills. If it exists I can't find it in the sprites section.

Hey there! I had a question, is there plans for YUMP 2's resources (music, asm, and such) being released?

Has it already been released somewhere? I was just asking because I know that JUMP and JUMP half had their resources released so I was curious!

Most (if not all) of the music has already been released in the section, most of them are of Lazy's or Sinc-X's authorship. Lazy's "bad" ports are available here.

Thank you! :D The ports in this hack are amazing! Has the West End Girls port (by Morsel, I think?) been released? That's one of my favorites from YUMP 2!
