Earthbound - Lolenemies Edition - Misc. ROM Hacking

I have an idea to replace every enemy in the game with the most random things. There's going to be things like smilies, Pokemon, video game systems, cake, Mario, a pixel, credit cards, Princess Peach, etc. I could probably go on for a long time.

The game itself will be the same, but all enemies will be totally different. You'll enjoy this hack seeing random things popping up.

Heh, that looks awesome. I probably wouldn't play it until I finish the regular Earthbound though.

Hopefully a lot of random enemies will be there, not like all pokemon or something.

Are you taking suggestions?

If so, how about a Yoshi? Or a Lemming? An Animal Crossing character, perhaps? Maybe even the in-game phone?

Seems like I too need to learn how to use this new enemy inserter.
And change the music for the fights. too. Wish PKHack3 worked a little with me

I don't think you can edit battle backgrounds to be that precise. I think. I don't do a lot of EB hacking. (A little, not a lot.)

Someone on the IRC said it wasn't possible to edit backgrounds.

Maybe if it is a giant enemy sprite (Eh, I never hacked Earthbound either).

Although I think there is a way to make your own backgrounds, otherwise this wouldn't be possible :S

Doesn't EB have some kind of "pirate check"? Where it checks if it's a ROM or what not?

Nope.
It only does that if your using a flash cart or something.I don't really know.But it works with emulators.
