CHAPTER 32:
A SECRET STORY
A SURPRISE
It was late in the afternoon. A light in a room goes on, revealing a very well suplied kitchen. Who turned on the lights was none other than Sherry. She had a very rough day specially. In her mission, she had to confront none other than the sick kid Nancy. The worst part was the fact she was separated from the others, so she had to fight her completly alone. She made it alive, but couldn't avoid getting hurt. And the Dark League actually found a piece of the Chaos Dragon's power. Not only that, but since some days now, the Dark Legue have been attacking with greater power, not stopping at anything at all now. And it was a good time since they saw Raygen for the last time, and wondered what was keeping him so busy...
Anyway, Sherry stared at the cupboard and the refrigerator. "Whew!! What a tired day. Fights are surely getting harder and harder. But enough for today, let's get a few rest" she said outloud. Suddenly, her stomach rumbled. "Oh!! You hungry too, baby? I can't forget I'm eating for two now. I shouldn't neglect my meals anymore... Well, let's se what we can find" she said, now with a smile.
She aproached the refrigerator, opened it and looked inside. IN that very moment, Livepool entered the kitchen as well. He didn't noticed her, and aproached the cupboards. "It's a shame they don't know what churros are in this place. Well, maybe I can make some and share them with all. Let's find some ingredients!!" he said outloud. And just as he opened a cupboard, suddenly Sherry slammed the refrigerator's door. Livepool got surprised. Sherry made a VERY serious face and said: "You are avoiding me. We need to talk, for real." Livepool was about to escape, when Sherry launched the EraserShield to the kitchen's door and closed. it. "Excuse me, but I already told you I don't know what you..." was saying Livepool, when Sherry interrupted: "Livepool, I really need to know this. You and I are just to alike. Just like me and my brother. I've spend a lot of my life searching for him. If you are realy him, if you are Matthew, I need to know it. Please, I need you to tell me. I... I want my baby to know his uncle..." She seemed like she was about to cry. Livepool was sad for her now. Suddenyl, Livepool whistled to call her attention. Livepool put his hand on top of his head..... and took out his mask.
Livepool's face was one of a young man, with very bright red hair. He wasn't happy in that moment either. Sherry moved her hans over her mouth in great surprise. "Y... your face. You... your hair. You.... you... you are not him..." she finally said. "No. I'm not Matthew. My real name is Isaac, although I never use it now. Man, remembering it brings memories back..." he said. "Oh. Thanks for showing me... I was really hoping you where him... I miss him for real" said Sherry, now letting tears fell. Livepool saw her and felt bad for her. He took a deep breath and said with an ubelievable serious voice: "Sherry, I need to tell you a story. A story that I never have told to anyone else..."
(And here, I let Livepool write. It's been a while):
Just weeks before the Kuldren event began, I was returning from a work I made, when I found a boy laying on the floor. For the looks, he had been wandering around for much, and he seemed on the last of his strenght. In fact, many would even think he was about to get erased. I don't know what made me do it, but I decided to take him home, and see if he could get better. He did got better from it, but soon, It was obvious he wasn't going to leave much. He had what I can say hands down the worst case of PaperFlu of all. And yet, he wasn't sad or anything. That got me curious, so I asked him why. Turns out, this kid had learn to be happy thanks to his sibling, whom he said, would always have a smile despite the situations. He said how his sibling still had some problems of self confidence, but he knew that could be fixed, and then, his sibling would even be a great hero.
This kid really seemed to love his sibling. And he really had a lot of stories about them. As days passed, he kept telling me stories, and I started to also care for them. I left to work, and with part of the money, I tried to make his last days as good as I could. I felt I should, since all this stories reminded of a sister I had. When we were young, we were attacked by a horde of monsters. She actually helped me out, and she stayed. She got killed saving me, even when I was the one going to do so for her. All the stories he told me, and his cheerful personality, made me want to be like that. In those days, I wasn't how I am know. That boy teached me that. One day I came back, he was not alive anymore. And for his face, I saw he didn't died sad or regreting. He was actually smiling. I buried him, and decided to live that house as a memento.
After he finished, Sherry asked: Why have you told me this?" "Because the kids name was Matthew, and his sibling was you" he said. Sherry was surprised. "When Kuldren placed the bounty on all you, I had no problem doing it. But thanks to Matthew's details (always happy, two big ponytails, a hair that really looked natural pink), I totally recognized you. I couldn't take out the person I actually learned to care of. That's the real reason why i decided to let you live, and join in the end. When I said you looked familiar to me, I kind of saw my sister in you... I'm sorry I gave you false hopes" he said. Sherry cleaned her tears, and smiled tenderly at him. "Thank you. I feel bad for knowing Matthew is not around anymore, but knowing he was always happy and thinking about me, I don't feel bad. Thank you, Isaa... I mean, Livepool" she said. Isaac smiled back and placed his mask up again. "Well, don't expect any more secrets from me" he said, "I have plenty of ones, like my past couples" he said grining. "Like who? Hatsune Miku?" said Sherry with a smile. "WHAAAAA?! How do you know that?!" said Livepool surprised. "Melody ranted in Faceart about it" answered Sherry. Livepool started complaining, and then, both of them laughed out.
Man, I loved making this chapter. And thanks to Livepool as well.
