Do you collect Yoshi Coins in hacks?

If you're playing SMW hacks do you collect all the yoshi coins?

I'm planning to make the special world in my hack only reachable when you got all Yoshi Coins in the hack. Of course they won't be too hard to find but do you think this feature is good or more annoying?
You have to collect three coins (like in the NSMW series) in each level, if the hack is fun enough to play for you would you collect all Yoshi Coins for such a feature? Pressing the four switches to get access to the special world sounded too lame for me.
No unless there is some (major) incentive to collect them.
Except of some hacks (like VIP 5) I usually don't collect them, because they aren't usually saved by SRAM.
I kind of collect Yoshi coins. Like if they are in plain sight or not too far out of the way I will collect them but it's usually never a big deal if I don't end up collecting all five. For the first couple worlds I try to collect all of them to rack up extra lives for the road ahead, especially if the hack get's difficult later on.

The feature you mentioned doesn't sound annoying but I guess it depends on the situation. Like if you had to collect Yoshi Coins to actually be able to progress through the game I can imaging it becoming somewhat of a problem for some people. If it's to open up special world levels I think that sounds cool.

Depends. If they're easily obtainable then I'll collect them for the hell of it. Otherwise it's just not worth it. Most of the time they have the same purpose as in the original SMW: collect five for an extra life. With options like savestates and rewinds so readily available, going out of your way for one extra life isn't worthwhile.
No unless some level must to collect Yoshi Coins.

In my hack there are only three per level (giving you a 1-up too), they are placed mainly on the path to the goal but some of them are hidden (sublevels), the special world is not important for finishing the hack, just to get access to nine special levels. I think I'll use this feature since the special world is not necessary to play, IMO it's more fun to look after something then just rush to the goal.

If there are only some coins harder to get in each world I think it's acceptable.
I basically don't care one bit about them.
One exception is if I'm making a hack, when I'll make sure they're reasonably well hidden.
Usually inactive/procrastinating on a hack idea.
I do that sometimes, but only if they are well hidden, and it gives me some incentive; however, if it's too hard to get (meant to look like Kaizo), then I don't do it, but not often. Hell, I even did it on the original SMW itself because, basically, that's what most players do when playing it for the first time.

Are you alive or just breathing?
Well, if it's a difficult hack where you're gonna need every life you can get, yes, I will keep an eye out for them, but I won't waste time doing a huge search for them, because sometimes it may take more lives than its worth.
I never tried getting Yoshi Coins in a hack, but I will if it's a level I made.

My Inspiring Quotes on Personal Growth and Change:

"Resolved financial/personal problems equal greater growth!"

"The only constant thing in life is change; nothing is set in stone. The old is replaced with the new. Forgive yourself for past mistakes. When many different problems in your life are resolved (personal, financial, etc.), newfound strength and confidence is gained in the process. Usually, failures, lack of assertiveness, disappointments, incompetence, low self-esteem and lack of self-respect, financial struggles, and setbacks can cause us to change and take action to solve any problem, leading to increased strength and confidence. This you learn from experience.

I have been experiencing this aforementioned newfound strength and confidence myself for the past FOUR to EIGHT years or so, getting stronger with each passing year, learning with each mistake I make and becoming more joyful in the process. Because of this newfound confidence I've acquired over the years, finding my passion is of utmost importance in 2022! You can develop this strength and confidence in yourself as well!"

To whoever's reading this, you are amazing and you are capable of doing equally amazing things. Gather confidence and be yourself! Say goodbye to the old you and welcome the new you! It wants to arise every moment, but you don't let it. Learn from your mistakes and never make that mistake again! Find your passion and live it!"

Finding my passion in life, but I may still be active on SMWCentral from time to time. Still enjoy playing many hacks, but I'm widening my perspective on life and opening myself to the new.
If there is a reason to do so, yes. For example, when I make a hack, I plan to make it like NSMB where you can collect star coins. I will make it so that the special world can only be accessed once you have all 240 star coins. I guess if a hack has a similar concept with Yoshi coins, I will collect them.
don't click this link...
I always collect all of them, even if there's no purpose for doing so. I also tend to replay all levels of a hack just to find all Yoshi Coins.

I find it to be a small, fun extra challenge to collect them in every level.
I don't but I place the anyway. I mean, It has no purpose to place them unless it's a とってもYEAH!! Dragon coin collecting look-alike hack.
I try to collect them, but if don't reenter levels,
just because I haven't collected all yoshi conins.
My hack TEMP is cancelled for now but I started a new
vanilla hack, you can visit my thread here.
If the hack doesn't get too frustratingly difficult, I'll usually make an effort to at least try to collect them all. I probably won't go back and search for ones I missed unless I really like the hack, though.

It really depends. If they're not too hard to get and the hack is fun, I try to collect them all but I don't really turn back when I miss some of them.
I've played hacks where they're required in order to continue in a level. In levels like those ones, I would definitely go for them, but if possible I would usually go right through the level not caring if I get all of the Yoshi coins.
