3/24/09: This thread is now about the entire series instead of Brawl.
This thread was pretty popular back on the old site, it's time to bring it back.
Anyway, if you haven't checked the site yet, Link's special moves are in today's update. Since this is the Twilight Princess version of Link, his special moves are altered.
He gets the Gale Boomerang, the Hero's Bow, the spinning attack which you can charge like in the game, and bombs which closely resembles the ones that Barnes make.
That's cool that he has his Twilight Princess gear. Too bad he doesn't have the Ball and Chain, or the Dominion Rod. Well, the Dominion Rod if there were statues.
A fairly solid update, I'm happy they didn't crap out and only give us two already known attacks like they did with Fox. In the Zelda games, the Clawshot was so much cooler than the Hookshot, sweet to see it's return.
Not so sure about the gale boomerang... I liked it as a stealthy and relatively quick ranged attack, expecially to sneak up on people during it's return. But I'll have to try this new boomerang out.
Charging the Up+B sounds a little bit suspicious... hope there's still an option to release it instantly.

The moves look like they haven't changed too much, but the pessimist inside me is saying that Link might have wound up nerfed... I don't know why. It is just the Gale Boomerang's ability to knock them towards you instead of away from you. That and if his up B isn't unleashed immedietly than I am guessing they did it to stop up B spammers, which sucks for people who actually main Link and don't spam.
Link is nice. I'm glad that he has his new attacks.
I wonder if Zelda will be a character, and if she will use a sword, like the 3rd to last boss battle in TP.
Zelda is already a character. She probably won't use a sword though.
I guess this means no wolf link transform for link, but there is still the chance of a seperate char version. I'm thinking "CHALLENGER!" Wolf Link & Midna! That sounds cool.

I wouldn't want wolf link as a seperate character... Maybe an alternate costume or something.

If Midna were in this game, I would buy it just because of her >_>
I'm really looking forward to this game - it's one of the reasons I bought a Wii. The graphics, gameplay, and everything about it look incredible - not to mention that the first two were also very well done.

Ha ha... sounds like someone either doesn't pay any attention to what they say, or has no idea how Super Smash Bros works. At all.
I think Wolf Link & Midna would be an extremely unique and clever character combo... I'd try them. Neither would work very well on their own, but together they could definitely have a complete moveset. Plus Midna is awesome.
