On Bags of Holding...

I was with some friends earlier and we brought up a mysterious topic that we never could figure out the answer to: namely, what would happen if you were to shred a Bag of Holding? Turning a bag of holding inside out is a common question, but shredding it sounds like it would be a lot more dangerous.
It would crash the universe due to an infinite loop error. I hope that you didn't shred one...

lol programming joke from someone who barely knows programming
Okay, I'm going to try it. Sorry if I destroy the universe or anything.

yeah I'm a funspoiler
Ok then, let's now think what would happen if we put a Bag of Holding inside another Bag of Holding.

Read my posted story here!!.

This layout good as my stories is made by Kagami
Then there would be a Bag of Holding inside of another BoH. The one inside of the other one can have things put in it as well.

Why are you screaming like that? It's obvious he either never actually shred it, or shredding it doesn't actually have the labeled effect. Think about it.

Destroying the universe would include all of its dimensions, like Time. Thus, all matter in ALL POSSIBLE POINTS IN TIME would be destroyed. This means that you would not be alive to say this because, from our inside-universe point of view, we never existed, and nor did the universe. The fact that you (and the universe) are there means that he did NOT destroy the universe.

So basically, either he didn't actually shred the bag, or shredding a bag of Holding doesn't actually destroy the universe.

I have a question myself though: If someone would destroy the universe by any means, this destruction would also mean this someone's destruction in all points in time, as previously stated. So, how could he have destroyed the universe in the first place?

Would it cause a Reality Superparadox?

Wait, no. If there's no Time outside the universe, how could something like that mather? The universe would just cease to exist, or start to exist, with no sense of chronology, because chronology doesn't even exist outside the universe.

Fuck, I'm deep here. Can anyone say anything about this?

Unless you adhere to the theory that time ISN'T a dimension...meaning no paradox.

You know what, screw it, this is making no sense.

Yeah, that. Also, we already know that it wouldn't destroy the universe because grishnax showed the proof right there.

Unless those are all lies. This makes me want to try it out.

Wait, it was probably his plan all along. Solving the thread in a cheap way so someone would start to doubt him and try for himself, effectively destroying the universe in his place, while he leaves through the back door and goes shopping in Alt!Universe Mart! Oh man, you are so evil grishnax!
