Tip: Layer 3 backgrounds and tides disappear when you hit a message box, so plan your level around that. For example, you can add a sublevel without layer 3 at the start/midpoint, and include your message there.Not logged in.

2015 C3 thread (demo 1 contain 2 first levels)

Belong with the cancel of "Another hack that make Mario die" is another kaizo hack! This time, the level is not as hard as the previous one, but some of them will be annoying. Also, I try to make this hack vanilla this time, nothing (except custom music) will be inserted (I don't want this hack end in the way the previous hack does). Enjoy anyway!
- Story:

- Length: about 8-10 levels, each level is 5-10mins long.

You should leave this test, I did that as well made earlier and that spoils the surprise a joy and you want so all with the level.
Otherwise, the screenshots look good

Name sounds similar to Mario Must Die, but it is fine as long as you do not copy it completely.
The hack itself looks decent, although after hitting that invisible note block and getting the mushroom you could just stand on those, rendering the torpedo obstacle useless. The second room has a nice puzzle with the torpedos.

Looking forward for more from this hack!

If you stand on the invisible note block, how can you get into the pipe to the right?

What did I meant is that you could stand on those blocks without needing to try avoiding the torpedo while hopping on the disco shell.
Mario Must ... Tired? It should be named Mario Must Be Tired.
Any reason as to why 7 Up has different logos in USA and the rest of the world?
Are the invisible note blocks even needed? Would it make any difference if they were removed and the mushroom was visible and just started out a tile above the conveyor belt?

this looks really interesting. I like the idea of having Torpedo Teds as a main subject for a level.

The beginning of the level looks much better now.

Your latest screenshots look interesting (although that shell juggling trick on the last screenshot is a bit overused but w/e, no need to remove that torpedo bit). Be sure to not just focus on them, but on dolphins as well, because the level can lag a lot with many torpedos in the same screen. Just a suggestion.
The beginning of stage 3 - "Watch n' Wait". Can you find the solution?
PS: This section has more than 2 rooms, so you can scroll the screen to the right.

A little update to the first room of stage 3 to make it a little easier & prevent a big break.

Are those red blocks hurtable or the default switch block, BTW?

I like how the level's coming out so far. I don't really know what am I supposed to do judging by that LM screenshot, but guess I'll wait for more screens/a video to come out.

I used Ripley as a private name of a villian. So, I should change this so everyone won't get confused, right?

I changed my mind now. Beside Bowser, there will be only one villain.
Also, I will save the water level for later part of this hack, since it's turned out very difficult now.

Anyway, New stage 1 test. It's difficult to show the beginning of this level by screenshot, so I recorded a video instead. And can anyone suggest a custom music to be used in this level. The song from Eversion is kinda overused (IMO).

Honestly, I thought that the water level was actually more better with the difficulty nerfed up a bit, but whatever, it's your hack and I have no rights to stop you from doing so.

It looks better. I like the creativity there, especially the last spiny bit. Regarding the music, maybe this would fit?
