hi

(that's it for now)
not like, new new anymore but hi my name is morgan/famiquinn. i've been making mario levels in other stuff growing up and i'm hoping to apply my knowledge here and probably make many mistakes along the way!!

i also like drawing and other things people find attractive and irresistible
Welcome! Hope all y'all like it and stick around for as long as you can #smrpg{y}
Hello to all who may be reading!

This is my umpteenth account on this website, hopefully this I won't forget the password for this account. I'll try making this my permanent account on this website.

Just a sample of the many accounts I previously had here:

I was less than ten years old when I created those accounts. What an embarrassing period for me that was! I tried making a rom hack in 2012, was rightfully told that it sucked. I'm hoping to learn more about rom hacking during my time with this account, assuming I don't lose the password for it again :p

Happy to be reregistered here again. May my stay be longer!
You remind of young me with multiple accounts and broken English before I eventually stuck with this one. Welcome!
I'm not new but I lost access to my old account somehow, idk if I got hacked or if I just completely forgot the password but... Hi I guess
Yo!
I'm MelonadeM, 24 y/o, primarily a musician (but I dabble into pixel art stuff as well)
I'm "new" to the site - I've known about its existence for a few years (I recall Sinc-X asked me to be a guest judge for some compo here? It was a long time ago) but until now haven't been too invested to create an account... well, I guess I made my account last year (and then never used it until today).
Really the most experience I have related to SMW Romhacking is with tools like AddMusicK - I've used it in the past to make pieces (that aren't very good anymore), and have recently picked it back up to port something from Furnace (chiptune tracker) to actual .SPC files, I have some understanding of what the SNES audio hardware is capable of (which definitely helps)!
Anyhow, I hope to meet some of y'all and have a generally good time here!
Hello! I accidentally logged out of my account here at smw central, but I was able to access it. I'm going to create Super Mario World hacks, but I'm a little shy and the "quiet student" in the classroom. I hope to entertain a large number of people! :)
i am fryeatergavin! i first discovered the concept of smw rom hacks through the infamous "I HATE YOU" creepypasta(or was it MARIO? idk...it WAS a creepypasta though.) eventually i decided to join smwcentral because uh...idk why. i just did.
Hi! I'm mostly known as Headcr4b everywhere. I like gaming a lot, and I have a big retro collection and I'm working on an SMW hack right now! i literally started hacking a week ago.
yoshi's island is not SMW2!!!! its a completely different game!!!!!11!
#smrpg{y}Howdy! I'm FrænkDragon71 for friends Ciccio 03 (pronunced Chiccio).#thp{:>}

I've been into romhacking since I was 10, including romhacks on super mario world, and recently I've been trying to learn how to make my own hack.
I like to draw and I often compose music if I feel like it.
I have many favorite games. I thought about making a whole list but I'm not very good at it, maybe I'll make a little edit to this post to add some#w{=P}!
Sorry, I'm not good with introductions.
Anyway, have a nice day!#ab{^^;;;}

Hi, I just remembered that i had two accounts on here!, they've been collecting some dust for a while, but it's finally time for me to introduce myself! hi!, i'm alex! i love mario and grew up with the games, but at the moment, i've been crazy about sonic. and, that's about it. thank you so much a-for-to reading my message!
Hi! I'm the slightly newer alt account for alexgamertheminer (this is what i meant by two accounts) and that's abou- WAIT!, i almost forgot, these accounts have been stashed for 6 years. since 2018, these accounts have been sitting dormant. both on this site (www.smwcentral.net if you forgot where you are) and my google account's password manager. i totally forgot about these both, and never made any forum posts with these. Thank you so much a-for-to reading my messages!
Hallo! ^w^

I've actually been here since 2017, just only in th'background. I guess now's th'time for me t'speak up.

I've always had an interest in SMW ROM hacks at a young age, both playin' 'em and makin' 'em, thanks t'my sisters.
In fact, I'm convinced that had 'tnot been for SMW ROM hacking, I wouldn't have become a dedicated hobbyist programmer today.
(I should go make my own hack at some point, whenever I've th'time.)

I also love listenin' t'SPC music, so of course I've downloaded a bunch of 'em and listened t'em repeatedly.

So... jawohl. That should be all, for now.

Hi, all.

I knew the site, but became new member recently. I want to become an expert player, both in standard and kaizo. If not here, it's cuz I'm wasting my time in Minesweeper Online. :)

Could someone tell me if I'm able to post YT link w/ my own playthrough along w/ my posts on hacks? I want to recors my winned games and share with others. Was reading site rules, but want to make sure?

Welcome~! I hope you enjoy your stay here! #w{=P}
Where I am found.
My name’s Nic and while I probably won’t be playing or making Romhacks anytime soon, I do like watching playthroughs of them, and I have a huge world-building project involving them. (It involves the three types of hacks I enjoy watching: VLDCs, Traditional hacks, and Kaizo hacks).

I got sucked into the world of Mario Romhacking when Facebook of all sites randomly recommended me a video of a Grand Poo World 2 playthrough. Although I have been fascinated by Smw ROMhacks since I was a kid (mainly the maps….I remember drawing smw maps in my sketchbooks all the time)
Been posting here awhile. Might as well drop in and say hi. My name is Dylan. I've been interested in SMW hacking for a little while now. I used to use a really shoddy program called Mario Builder. It was made using a game engine called Game Maker. Anyway, it was awful. I mean, it's not the dev's fault. He's just one guy. And I don't even think it was his Mario engine necessarily. But that's not actual truth, just speculation. It was buggy, a lot of the mechanics didn't work or worked in ways that made them completely unusable. There's a whole rabbit hole on YT videos of levels made with it, if you'd like to see any of it for yourself. Have any of you ever used this buggy program or something analogous?

I stopped using Mario Builder some time ago. I had just gotten so used to it and didn't want to stray. To be honest, it sucked, but that's okay. I still liked it and have plenty of fond memories using it. Now I've moved onto SMW hacking. I've always loved SMW. It's been my favorite Mario game for a while. So, I took the plunge in late 2024, and haven't looked back. So far, this community has been incredibly kind and welcoming. So shoutout to you guys. You are the ones that make this website awesome. Cheers, lads. #smrpg{y}
