Feel free to discuss the contest/collab or ask any questions here, and I will do my best to answer them.
You may also make threads in this forum to show off your level, or to talk with other users. Remember that although this is a contest and there will be a clear winner, the final project will ultimately be a team effort, so try not to get too bloodthirsty!
There's no screen limit, but I'll also assign a maximum of 8 sublevels per person as well (this should be more than enough, bordering on too much). Don't make a level that's longer than, say, 4-5 minutes tops.
As for the page of general decorations .. yes, we can do that, but I won't be making it. If someone wants to send me one, or you guys want to make a thread and collaborate on it, be my guest.
Totally in. I love the world themes and the collaboration/competition idea. I also think that people getting assigned levels/sublevels and graphics should prompt them to make the best level they can make (due to that and a lot more peer judgement).
First of all: This is a great idea (I have to say that I already came up with something similar, but simply didn't have the courage to make it real)! I will definitely participate!
Just one question - You said that original GFX manipulations are accepted... How far does it go? Are we only allowed to literally "copy and paste" parts of different GFX into one file, or can we slightly change these as well? Just like this:
Other than that I really hope this is going to work!
Looking forward to this one. Just one question though - Would tileset mixing through ExGFX be allowed? It seems like it should be with the way the rules are set up, but I' rather ask for some confirmation.
Most likely gonna port something with MM7 samples because everything needs something good *shot*
