16 tiles by 8 tiles, yes. 128 tiles per person.
Originally posted by NeidaveYou said that original GFX manipulations are accepted... How far does it go? Are we only allowed to literally "copy and paste" parts of different GFX into one file, or can we slightly change these as well? Just like this:
You may do that. However, please try to be consistent - something like a Thwimp Pokey would be fine because it is obvious that they will hurt the player, but don't replace the Pokey tiles with, say, Goombas, or it will lead players to think they can jump on them.
Originally posted by Wormer21One question - are we allowed to make very slight edits with ExGFX to make a level more fancy or fix graphics issues/cutoffs? Like small palette changes, making blocks less rounded, etc. ?
No, because this would involve editing the original graphics. You may twist and turn and chop up and stitch together the original graphics in any way you'd like, but you cannot redraw parts of them.
Originally posted by GregorThat's a good question. Are we allowed to recolour things, as well? Or merge things?
The only recolouring I would expect would be via the palette editor in LM. You can, however, merge things in YY-CHR just as long as you don't actually edit the original graphics in any way, shape, or form (that is, by redrawing them).

Yes.
Originally posted by TorchkasSo there won't be any Ghost Houses?
There will be if people decide to make them. If they don't, then there won't be. How the worlds will look literally depends on the levels that are submitted.
Originally posted by yoguiAbout that, is there a limit about how many levels are available per world?
Originally I was going to make it set at 8 levels per world and then assign themes, but at this point, I'm just going to put my faith in the userbase and hope that you guys can actually be creative with your levels and not just make the game 75% grasslands. If there is a slight imbalance in the worlds, then it is not a big deal.

AddmusicK.
Originally posted by FalconpunchIs there an easier way to explain it?
No, it isn't rocket science. Read the rules again. It's literally no different than previous VLDCs except you'll be assigned Map16/graphical/level/secondary exit slots. Beyond that and some basic guidelines, the rest of the info on the rules page is for administrative purposes.
Originally posted by SokobansolverIs there going to be a difficulty curve? If I pick a forest/grassland level, do I have to make it easy? And if I make a fortress/castle stage, does it have to be real hard?
All of the worlds and levels (except for the highest ranked in each world) will be open from the start, so there can be a world 6 level that is the same difficulty as a world 1 level.
