I don't think the purple palette goes too well with everything else.

How am I so creative? I think taking walks might have something to do with it.
Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
I disagree I like the palette a lot.
I think the purple does fit with the BG colour. The design looks fine too.
Joining the band wagon with the palette. People may as well go all out with colours so we don't just get tons of green grasslands or brown caves.

So far with level design it looks like it'll have some fun with line guides :D
I like the use of the color purple, but I feel the background is too bright in comparison to it.

Didn't like how the last level was turning out so I started over:

Just testing some graphics here. I wanted to use layer 2 but I aso wanted a bg that looks convincing as a normal bg, so I came up with this.
With proper level design, I can easily see this becoming a good level as the screenshot you provided there shows a great start.
I liked the setup of the previous attempt a lot more than this one, but it looks good nevertheless!

I'm going to partially agree with Sokoban and say that the reason the colors look good is because those three colors, the green purple and orange, only look good together when all three are present. So just make sure that you don't have a section with only purple and orange or something because it'll look off.

I started over once again. I really like this one though, so it might be my last time.
The clouds shouldn't have dark outlines even though they're FG.

E: sorry, I forgot to mention it looks really damn good despite what I said. It's still an issue tho.

This latest incarnation of your level seems the best to me. Good luck making it.
I agree that the third version of your level is looking the best so far in terms of aesthetic style. The only thing that's striking me as being strange is the palette of the fence thing to the left. Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing some more screenshots!

Another Aesthetic test, this time for an icy cave sublevel. Now I just have to start building this level.

Also, I should really change the thread name, shouldn't I?

Finished the first part of the level. Really like how it turned out.
Looks very nice, but I think the rope ends look a little weird. Putting a cement block or something else may look better in my opinion.
