Looks alright, but as a hint to you (and other designers), try to be much more conservative on your muncher usage. One thing I've noticed in past contests is that people greatly abuse them as an artificial trap source rather than actually structuring the level in a creative way that interlaces with the sprites. 95% of the times, munchers feel like they're tacked on as an afterthought, and I see a couple of situations in your screenshot where that is apparent.
Out of curiosity, can you jump on a bullet bill to reach the ledge then collect the 1-UP? It does not seem you can though it may just be simply a divided bonus room with two routes.
For a moment I thought the ground was going to sink into the lava being a layer 2 level. Well, I don't really have much to say but the palette seems fine for me so I predict a good looking area ahead.
