Making a thread to show off a wip tileset.



Haven't actually designed anything yet, but the gimmick will be moving balloons with ropes, and maybe a Layer 2 section.
That's an interesting spin on using the P-Balloon, and I like the use of the "THANK YOU" scene decorations. Very cool so far.
This is not an insult, but you are insane... in the way you've been able to mix in those vanilla tiles and used them for new things. I thought that the rainbow tile was custom until SNN said it was from the "THANK YOU" message o.o You are also balancing your visual elements so that they are not overpowering. Pretty cool. Only thing weird I can see is the one rope under the lone P-Ballon, that should be changed so it's like the rest of them.

As for your palettes, they are pretty nice as well. I'd change the white of the snow though. For some reason it looks like there's a bit of pale lime green in there, I would change that to a blue to make it fit in more. The bricks also might want a slight palette change, just to make them a little different. A brown might work.

Very clever. When I saw the thread title I was sort of expecting a Tubular-like level.
I do think smoke coming off of a balloon is a little weird but since there isn't a vanilla thing you can do about it (that I know of) we can let it slide. No big deal.

Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
Started designing my level today, here's a look at what I've done so far. I'm going for a celebration theme. :D

Scrapped my idea of line guides, since getting the stars/normal FG/line guides to work together was a total pain.

BlackMageMario: I changed the lime green to a darker, bluer color. I want it to look like only a little bit of snow fell, so a little bit of green is shown.

Side note: Is it possible to get the Map16 priority to work in a vertical level? I plan on using the canvases later on, and Mario can't go behind them. Not sure why the original game did this.
