Unnamed ice level

I've always focused on the coding side of SMW hacking, but none the less this year is pretty much my first stab at really trying to make something cool vanilla style.

I'm not shooting to win; I just wanted to participate.

e: I should also mention that the first screen is from a sub-level. The main level is the second screen.

Give Mario some love?~
I don't think purple palette will looks good in SMW levels...
I actually love it. It gives a stormy vibe. In the first screenshot the cave tileset somewhat resembles a ship. Is that what's supposed to be. Either way, you have something very nice here.

I think it's supposed to be an iceberg. The level is supposed to have an ice theme supposedly, but that pic seems to be using standard SMW palettes in darker colors (and the cave tileset looks ugly in the grassland colors, so I have to assume it's temporary).

I'm kinda getting the feeling that my palette editing technique isn't good? In my prospective the blue tint gives it the perfect ice feel.. though I do realize it makes Mario stand out like a sore thumb.

Then edit mario's palette? I know that you can't change all of them per level, but there's a few you can that can help to hide it. But don't drastically change the level's palette, as it is looking really good.
