This level is a crystal-filled cave. It makes use of both foreground layers to allow tile overlapping without creating new GFX.

Here's the start of the level. There shouldn't be TOO much trouble here, especially if you have a power-up.

Now things get a bit busier, with more coins, blocks, and a Puntin' Chuck.

That's all I have for now.

How creative you are! And the palette is also good.
But...Where's the background? It hasn't applied yet?
It uses Layer 3 rock BG, but it's hard to see here.
Yet another instance of using little-known tiles to create things that look like ExGFX.
Kinda reminds me of Yoshi's Island's cave tileset.

How am I so creative? I think taking walks might have something to do with it.
Every single level I will ever make in SMM2 will be easier than Ultra Necrozma.
Looks pretty nice. What vanilla graphics are the crystals? Can't quite put my finger on it.

I'm guessing it might be the mountainous hills in Chocolate Island 2. Just heavily modified. And yes, I like this. Maybe the layer 3 background could be a bit brighter.
Wow, I'm loving those crystals! #smw{:TUP:}
Thanks for the comments, guys. I have a bit more progress to show. The level is pretty much done now.

Here's a little room where you can collect a Yoshi Coin. Be careful though. The crystal platforms will start sinking into the lava when you jump on them.

Here's the second room of the main level. The crystal platforms in here move up and down. You have to move quickly to avoid being smashed into the ceiling or dipped into boiling lava.

Here, you get a break from worrying about moving crystal platforms, but you have to deal with a Puntin' Chuck in a somewhat enclosed space.

Here's a video of the final project.

Using layer 2 "crystals" over the lava is a brilliant idea. Loving both the aesthetics and the design of this - great work.

(on a side note, I'm not overly fond of that port. The percussion in particular sounds a little iffy.)
I never would've thought of using those graphics to make cave gemstones/crystals.

Definitely a cool entry you have here.

Cool level. There was a minor cut-off near the end of the level, you may want to fix that.
Click.
Thank you for pointing that out. It's been fixed, and the .zip has been updated.
