I'm guessing that's a layer two ghost chase part of your level? So far so good, but make sure to add decoration because it looks underdeveloped at the moment. I'd say unique, yes, but done before.

SNN will probably find a place for your level, he's said plenty of times that the world themes are purposely vague, and since you made a ghost house, he could probably jam that anywhere.

The ghost chase does look unique, although because its on Layer 2 (presumably) the ghosts will still be animated, right? It would seem very weird if they are not animated.

Anyway, it looks good. Nice palette, by the way.

So yeah I scraped this idea simply because designing FUN puzzles isn't my strength. In fact, i have new design approach i want to try:

in case you don't understand it, basically this site here wants you to have a linear progress of difficulty, while I'm trying to make the difficult segments near the "beginning" and of course the midway point.

Furthermore I'm applying the graphics til I finished the level itself and it is much more fun not caring about the graphics at all haha^^

Well I will provide screenshots til I finished the leveldesign itself i think...

Enemywise, I use small DinoRhino's mixed with parachute enemies and other rare stuff. Let's see what I can make off it. Not considering the graphic shenanigans, I should focus more on the level design first. If I get a good place here, than I know that I can make better levels with "Design first, graphics later"

So, this is my entry for this contest basically, it is Reznor's Ice Path, an athletic mix of castle tileset with grassland level design in mind. It is also an ice level so it is slippery.

It is possible to find 5 Yoshi Coins, there is a secret exit and of course a bonus room.

The end boss of this level is Reznor, obviously, who is simply his Mode 7 variant with a added sprite, nothing incredible. Making his Mode 7 form more interesting (Boo Circle) fucks up the overworld, unfortunately. :/

So... I nearly finished my entry, I need some little fixes and I want some responses about what you like/dislike. And finally could someone playtest it, too? It would be enough if only one person does it because the level is fairly short :D
Pretty interesting use of those tilesets. Although the use of them has increased over the years in the SMW hacking world, I do not see them often. The screenshots indicate that this is going to be a creative entry. I am already impressed with what I have seen so far.
Quite unique use of the curtains. Your palette feels quite generic, but it's nice. I like it so far.

Thanks for the replies, so... I really need testers. Could someone PM me?

I just to see how difficult the level feels w/o switch palace and everything.

The level is finished.
