Well, after some time spent loafing around, I came to a somewhat simple idea for my level entry. Here it comes: Sheer Cold Chateau. It's an Ice Castle (I don't really know if mixing world themes is acceptable, but I guessed yes, at least for this one).

Let's start with some screenshots:

That's all I have now. I'm thinking if I use more than two rooms, if I do some puzzle work afterwards, etc. But for the main room, the design is like the screenshots showed: dodge some castle foes while slipping around wildly inside a cold castle. It's like a walk in the park #smw{>:)}

There is nothing else I can say except that it looks pretty damn cramped.
For a "sheer cold" chateau, the colors don't feel cold at all, which makes the "ice" look like nothing but blue crystals. The layer 3 windows also don't look good, the colors are too bright for a background and the low contrast on the icy ones ruins the shading.

The level itself looks good (albeit a tad too tight), but the aesthetics could use some work.

I agree with this somewhat, however, if the land is slippery, the player will know it is ice, and have a more icy feel to the level.

I would just suggest making the castle palette a bit brighter, as right now it's leaning towards the grey color rather than blue. The layer 3 windows don't look bad, imo.

Having a better look at my work, I agreed completely with Magiluigi, so I changed the palette. Also, I got rid of the crystal things, as they're a Map16 waste to my ideas.

Now it looks like an ice castle, I think.
