Reposting because it needs to be and this thread is dying.

EDIT: I have a new base ROM but Dropbox isn't working. Just my luck.

EDIT 2: Dropbox is up again, so here's the new base ROM.
I'll be sure to play the finished levels when I get home from college. I've been wondering what they were like.

As for when I submit my level, there may be some fixes you might want to make before updating the base again.

I decided to upload a video of MandL27's level because why the heck not.

I am pretty sure that more people are eventually going to sign up for this project. It may take time, but at some point, it's going to happen.

The project is just starting right now, so there's not much attention right now. When it expands quite a bit, I think it may have a following. Don't give up just yet.

O HAI THAR

I'm going to go ahead and say that if this doesn't get noticed after I get some advertisers I'll go ahead and let it rot. I don't have anything to show off because nobody's signing up, I have laughable drawing skills, don't know jack about ASM, and don't really want multiple levels in the same world to be by the same author.
Well, give me level 5 for that.I'll make a ____nilla level for at least.
Done.

what do i do to get people interested

Collaboration hacks are indeed difficult to show off to the people here around SMW Central. It is quite difficult to maintain such hacks and it is even more difficult to garner interest unless it is a wide-scale hack. Stick to a smaller collaboration as it would be easier to manage without all of the difficulties hacks of this nature face. Although you may not have any content to show, it would be best to create some at the very least so people at least know what type of hack would it turn out to be and then you can determine who is interested when (and if) they signup to this collaboration (through advertising). Even plan some kind of story or plot and make one if you are able to do it.

I actually have several ideas of how to attract interest in such hacks but I think the above advice would be enough for now.
I posted a link to this thread in my signature. Hope some of the others who are making levels will do the same thing. Will help spread the word about the project.

Going to take a bit longer to finish my level, since I've been working on another project at the moment. Hope to have it done in mid-April.

I'm going to open the project for world 2 designers. Just give me a bit of time to set up a base ROM, and I'll edit the post. You can sign up in the meantime though.

EDIT: yaaaaaay
Is Kaizo allowed in this hack?

no

I wouldn't see a reason to, even for the last level of a special world. It would also seem really out of place.

Also I'm considering canceling the hack (for now) as no-one is going to join in the next 12 billion years unless I manage to get myself popular (which I won't).

Would you mind if I build another level?
I really need a layout. :<
Hey guy, does graphic combining (BG2+BG3) is allowed?
Yeah.

Wait, I don't remember you claiming a level.

You got another person to join, just tell me which things are still unclaimed.

Maybe this can be a small team hack, with a few levels made by outside individuals. Been quite a bit busy with school, so I will likely only make one level for it. Either way though, if it's a small group working on it, maybe it will go faster that way.

I would love to contribute a plains level, and I've got a real good handle on how to do Title screen Lettering. Anyway, let me know.
