Mario's Final World is a project I started around September 2012, though I was busy with other stuff and it was frozen. I decided to pick it up around February 2013, though sometime around May I got too bored of Super Mario World and I moved on to Pokémon hacking. Now that I'm bored of that, I decided to just make some changes, though it all came back to me so quickly that I decided to fully revive this hack and I will try to complete it, though I'm starting off with adding more details and fixing up some levels, this time armed with the skills I got thanks to Pokémon hacking.
This is a completely chocolate hack, using "Alternate Mario World" as a base with more custom graphics and custom music.
Plot
The plot of this hack originally wasn't very developed, though now it's very detailed. Below is currently what's revealed in the hack and it will be filled out as more levels get added.
Bowser is at it again, though this time kidnapping Luigi. Mario decides to go by airship, though when he's near Telinc's World, a small earthquake occurs and creates a hole. Mario decides to jump down, but instead of falling in the ocean, he finds himself in a whole new world he has never seen before...
Starting screenshots
I have changed some stuff since I left this hack, so here are some screenshots that show off what's changed.

The level that has changed the most is Wet-Dry Cave. One of the first things you might notice is that I finally listened to your advice and changed the background. It's nothing more than the red wall used in Ludwig's Castle adapted to the cave level palettes.

The new replacement for the Dragon Coins is the Star Coins. That's right, no more MFW Coins, they looked horrible.

The new forest leaves. The pattern it goes in is actually the same as the vanilla tree tops, only it's built out of Map16 tiles and it uses the new forest graphics.

The cloud section of "Hightree Forest" was also improved. It now has a new background, a new HDMA effect and you can also see the leaves (it's Hightree Forest after all).

Just some new little additions to the water world, the fortress and the sign are partially underwater. Also, no, the game is not complete up to this point - world 1 still has two and half levels that are not completed, there are only 2 completed levels and world 2 and there is one completed level in world 3.

Also, just showing the new reset object symbol, as well as how I implemented it in the VWF dialogues.
And that's it for screenshots right now, but there's more. Remember how I said that Wet-Dry Cave changed a lot? Well, I think it deserves a video, which you can watch by

Userbars
What's a hack without userbars to support it? I even made four different variations.
