SMW Mystery of the Three Isles

Hello everyone, I'm back to SMW hacking. This time I'm making a new hack, since Replica is cancelled.

Story:
Welcome to the Mystery of Three Isles. Here you may explore every corner of the three islands and find the mystery.

Hack Description:

The hack will have no time at all and large levels. I'm hoping players could explore the level instead of just getting to the finish line. No power-ups in level are placed, instead i'll use coins and the 100 Coins Awarder patch, so that players would also collect coins for power-ups. The hack will include some custom patches, definitely custom music and custom bosses.

Anyway, level 2 is finished! Level 3 is now worked on! This level will contain custom GFX.
No one's commented thus far? Pffft, douchers.
There may not be too much shown, but I like the concept that you have for this alot. Even though the overworld is obviously still in progress, those islands look pretty nice so far, as well as your levels. I Especially like the dreary swamp palettes.
I'll stay posted for more updates update.

I find your usage of the ground texture to be repetitive, but overall it's a really nice overworld. I can't take a liking to that very light blue island in the upper right corner, however; It's palette is far too bright and far too bold. I suggest you use more pastel colours there.

As for Spooky Scary Swamp, it's strange how light some objects are despite it being a dark level. You should also darken the white colour in palette 2 by a lot, as those white dots in the in-ground bushes look not so great.
Well, the light blue island is supposed to be an Ice Island. But sure, I can easily change the palette.

As for Spooky Scary Swamp, I will darken the white color.
I think you need some variety in the foreground, because looking at the same texture repeatedly throughout the level is just #smw{:x}
This isn't so much of a problem in the other levels, but level 3 is the one that gets on my nerves (especially with that texture).

That's just me though.




As for the overworld it looks great, I like the palettes used.

House of Greed:






You win this level by collecting all the coins in it.
From my experience, players would just go to that level to get easy power-ups. Hopefully they are scattered around. It's the House Of Greed.

Polaris is cool. I think. Can't confirm.
I cannot say I would enjoy looking at those palettes in their current state as they seem a little too bright for me. I would also suggest changing the palettes of the sprites and status bar so the fit in with the palette. The level doesn't seem too bad however.
Everything seems okay so far, but like the others said, that ice area seems a bit too bright.
