I was so hyped to play this ever since I saw the beta test of it in what 2011? Anyway, what happened to SMWCP2? Did it get cancelled or are they testing the HELL out of it before they release it? Fixing bugs and then the testing will begin. There is so much stuff in the ROM the bugs are so numerous and tough to figure out it's taking forever (from what I've gathered).
Also why is this in GD and not the actual SMWCP2 forum?
Pretty much everything said above is correct. Things are going to be a bit slower than normal this week since I will be on vacation.

I gave over leadership to Lightvayne at the end of 2012 so I could finish my last year of university without the burden of this on my shoulders. I still oversee the project and have input on decisions/whatnot, but pretty much all of the "bug fixing" phase and the recent stuff has been thanks to Lightvayne.
Honestly, I cannot blame anyone for the current pace of things. Bug fixing is fucking terrible work man.

Yeah, we seem to be in the rut of fixing 1 bug and causing 2 more. We had a little bit of progress on it before I left on vacation. I still have to catch up on whats been happening since then...

OW's been done forever and a day ago.
Also smwcp's overworld never really did it for me. I know I've said this before, but it was really anti-exploration to me. I can't recall the one for smwcp2, but I hope it's better.
You guys should use Jimmy's ASM Coding for the Overworld. =D
From what I saw, you get to choose which worlds you want to play. I noticed that based on whether you go left or right in Castle 1 and Castle 4, you can end up in either of two worlds. So there are two world-2's (forest and oriental) and two world-5's (carnival and sky)
People complained about SMWCP not having much in the way of "secrets", so that's why the split paths are in effect here (as well as ways to skip a bunch of levels if you find some really devious secret exits). The exact order/numbering is something like:
World 1: Grass/Industrial
*World 2: Forest
*World 3: Oriental
World 4A: Water/Beach
World 4B: Desert
*World 5: Carnival
*World 6: Sky/Blimp
World 7: Fire/Ice
World 8: Factory
World 9: Dream
I think it's great that this project is still alive. With all the struggles you guys have gone through fixing bugs, will it dishearten the chance of a third project?
Also, is there anything I can do to help with bug fixing?
