So I decided to make my own SPC thread to let everyone see my music ports.

Please check my latest posts.

I no longer take requests sent privately.

Accepted Ports

Some SPC links in this thread are broken, since they are already obsoleted.

For Kirby's Dream Land 3 Invincible 2 port, I would slow the tempo down and maybe increase the global volume a bit. Other than that, maybe some little thing like in channel 1. Now if you're aiming for accuracy on this, then you might want to listen a little closer to the drum beat pattern there because it's off. Slow down the speed on the SPC700 player for a better listen if you can't catch it. Other then that, everything is spot on to me in terms of pitch, I don't know if you can make sample 22's pitch a little higher to make it from 02c4 to 02c8 (first two note's pitches on channel 2 for reference) with the $ee command but this is great! I'm sure if you rise the global volume more and slow down that tempo, the echo should be fixed as well. Nice work #tb{^V^}.

This is my first REAL sampled AMK port ever! Yay!

[K] [S] Tetris & Dr. Mario - Tetris Music 2

The second tunes helped me a lot!:D

And also:
[K] SaGa Frontier - The Opening of a Journey
Thanks to AMK, the echo delay can be increased into 0C, so it sounds more better.
[K] [S] Kirby's Dream Land 3 - Sand Canyon 3

I realised AMK 's porter mode+SPC700 Player is really powerful!
Another WIP port.
[K] [S] Final Fantasy 5 - Walking the Snowy Mountains
This one was 100% ported from scratch:P
It's almost done, but I have no idea with the looping point.

I know I'm fairly late for this, but I wanted to give input on this port in particular: The biggest issue right now is that the tempo is too fast. What tempo is it at right now? I'd suggest reducing it to t36. Another problem is that the original song has the instruments sort of all "spread out" all the other channels. In your port, you more or less cramped most parts of the song into #0, and it takes away from the port overall. Lastly, for the @13s, I'd suggest using $FF $F2 $B8 $XX $YY instead of the ADSR you're using right now.

The port is off to a start, but it needs a little more work. Keep at it, though!

Thanks! I will try to fix it.

And a WIP port:
Seiken Densetsu 3 - Another Winter
I know the echo is really unlike the original one, but I have no idea.

About the echo, you could try out, "$EF $FF $B7 $B7" for the echo volume. The original song has a lower master volume than SMW, so lowering the master volume increases the echo volume in a way, while of course lowing the volume of everything else, including SFX, so increasing the echo volume command instead could work, without needing to lower the master volume.

Hope this helps, and that you understand.

The original echo volume was meant to go with surround master volume. SMW uses normal volume for its master volume, so surround values won't work.

I recommend using these values for the echo:

Code
$ef $3e $45 $45
$f1 $05 $38 $01

That's the closest I could get to mimic the original echo with SMW's master volume, though you'll need perfect channel volumes in order to make it work. What I do is to get the original volume values (with $fa $03 $xx if needed), even if they're way too loud for SMW, and then play a bit with the wXXX command (w180 seems to work well here).

About the port itself... well, it needs some work, especially since you didn't switched to the pan flutes in channel #1 and #2, and after the first part loops, it glitches horribly, even using samples that aren't supposed to be there in the first place, and it also has a very weird desync.
@Masterlink: Thanks for your suggestions.
But I still can't make it sounds properly.

BTW, I ported Laputa: Castle in the Sky - Main Theme (Piano Remix) today.

I can't understand your post.

He gave you the "equal" translation to what "la puta" in English is. I know this isn't relevant but just trying to help you understand what he meant.

I've never heard the original song but for what it is it sounds pretty good--you're definitely improving as a porter! My only complaint is that the loop is a bit abrupt, but it's no huge deal.

I'm starting to miss this thread TCDW. You're ports are great, and I enjoy listening to them. Please update this thread soon, or I'm banning you.#w{=P}
Not really, but I do hope this makes you laugh and/or inspires you.

Your ports are awesome!

Now for commenting, since I got that out of the way. I like this Castle in the Sky port; it's pretty beautiful. Definitely unique, I haven't heard a port like this, and it makes me kind of sad for some reason, nearly bring tears to my eyes. A lot of emotions going through me right now. This is a one in-a-million port because I haven't heard anything like this made for SMW. Good job.
@Scorpion: Thanks for your
sweetass
comment. I am trying to loop it properly, and it will be public soon.

BTW, I ported Final Fantasy IV - Cry in Sorrow (part 2) today.
I use ADSR instead, since I can't make Remote Code Call works properly.
OOoh, I remember this port. I used a much older version in the original Fourth Sector hack I was doing a while back, and the song was pretty sad then. Now, it really does make me want to cry. ;_;

Haven't heard the original, and I'm too lazy to look it up right now.
Shingle work is wearing me out.
I really like the way this sounds, and it's amazing that it's only 2 channels. You think you could add a subtle flute in channel three to help support?
@Scorpion: Well, the original version only have 2 channels... Ad I don't think add a flute channel will make it sounds good, since I think it's enough.

I finished these:
Super Mario RPG - The Starlight's Flower
Super Puyo Puyo 2 - The Top Floor

The second one is not well-done, I know.
Wow.. "Super Mario RPG - The Starlight's Flower" sounds really lovely! I love it. I really love it. It gives me a strange feeling. It also sounds like the original a lot. Great job there.
