I actually like Fairy Tail for the most part. It has quite a few aspects in it that I don't like but heck, I've watched the first season and I wouldn't watch 100+ (however much) episodes of something if I didn't like it.
Things, or better said the one major thing, I don't like about this series is that no character ever seems to be in real danger. I don't wanna throw any spoiler at other people reading this, so potential spoiler alart for the erlier epsides
What I'm trying to say is, that people just either don't die or they don't stay dead. IIRC Ul and that friend of Erza are the only ones who actually died and didn't come back in a later episode
. Like, why give characters a dramatic death or seperation scene, if they are just gonna survive/come back anyway. :<
That, and the fact that Natsu's fire doesn't really seem to actually burn anything xD

No, but as I said, I like Fairy Tail for the most part, and I'm glad the anime continues

You make a good point Jackofspades. Another issue with the anime is the over-amount of fanservice. I'll bring that up in my review of it when i get youtube back

It sucks that this hasn't been updated yet. There isn't an anime too long that I can't handle.

Well, I have taken the plunge to watch the 1st season.
Holy fudge, it's 13GB big for the 480p version, and 53GB for the 720p version!
I'm on episode 3/175, but I can honestly say that this anime will be interesting. I am watching this in subs over dub, because subs always wins on fitting voices in the characters. Speaking of characters, Lucy is a really likeable character.

I will edit this as soon as I watch more.

May I ask, why might that be? She looks really easy to talk to and gets along with others. I don't see the reason why many find her unbearable. If she's that annoying, then why is she in the majority of the EPs?

So I was gonna stop watching Fairy Tail (was getting tired of the repetitive pattern the show has fallen into) when the Tartaros arc ended, but a bunch of crazy stuff happened.

WARNING - Spoilers!
Igneel and all the other dragons showed up, then Igneel dies and all the other dragons leave. Natsu and Happy leave for a year to do training, and on top of all of that, Fairy Tail gets disbanded!


Well crap, now I have to keep watching. #w{xD}

I haven't watched it lol. I actually avoid long series. But I don't watch much anime in the first place...

So I finally got around to watching Fairy Tail after three months of not doing so. Did it end, or are they just working on a new season? I really don't see where they could go with the show now to be honest.
