I'd like to say that I and cackletta have started a Major Hack, one that will be different from the others seeing that this won't feature mario. This hack will have some assembly hacks. At first I'd like to give my credits;
Skelux; Obj importer 1.9s.
TT64 0.6.2S.
Flotonic; Sonic Model.

ABOUT THIS.
Sonic blast from the past is a 3D sonic game which will feature past stages in 3D.

Stages in Mind.
Green Hill zone.
Emerald hill zone.
Marble zone.
Mush room hill zone.

Nice introduction on our project, I have started reverse-engineering the animations, I have swapped mario's jump with yoshi's special triple jump so it'll fit in like sonic. I have also started on the coin to 3D rings.
And I have also made sonic faster and he doesn't accelerate anymore.

Finally, a sonic hack that's gonna go all the way wiht everything! Not just Mario's model replaced with sonic. Great job and can't wait to play!

No? This project tends to have stage and not a changed model.
We have decided we will start modelling emerald coast first or green hill zone.

MY HACK what I are working on.

Now that you mention it, chaos emeralds are an excellent idea.....since you can;t replace the star model, there would be too many stars anyway since there are only 7 chaos emeralds...why not set it up similarly to mine? across the hack in random spots have a mission to hunt for a chaos emerald. By the end of the game you will have collected 7. You can create a custom model for the chaos emerald. I think I have a model of the chaos emerald I was using as a test at one point if you want it.

I like the idea, but there are only 7 chaos emeralds, and 6 levels per course there are more levels than chaos emeralds. :(

And I already have a chaos emerald model with all 7 if you;d like to use in your hack, instead of using the models resource thread.

Then, just saying, talk with someone why if her do an Sonic mini-hack (not an major one) put the Chaos Emeralds per level. And 7th is secret to unlocky boss.

I have another idea. Put 1 chaos emerald per course, and when the player collect all, her unlocky an secret boss. And gonna see an better ending. Just ideas. Also, to this happen, will need only 7 courses, so... Good lucky. (you gonna do it?)

I don;t think SM64 hacking has got to the point where it is advanced enough to make actual endings. No one has ever made an ending animation that is different from the original game. Hopefully soon though! :)

I plan on changing bowser's keys to chaos emeralds I can make him emit two keys. Instead of bowser, you fight of bullies with a model changed to the badniks/robots. Stars will be changed to "Goal" rings.

I have a ton of work to do, I plan on the chaos emerald from SADX/ SA2B, although I'll check your model out.

WarioMan21 demanded I upload the video seeing he lacks a YouTube account.
Changes;
*Faster Sonic.
*Doesn't accelerate.
*Can run up slopes.
*Instantly jumps into a spin ball.
*Swapped side flip so it'd be easier to wall jump as seen in Sonic Generations.

Things to do;
*Change sounds.
*Implement Chaos emeralds.
*Code in Super Sonic( replacing metal cap)
*NOP the functions that call Mario sounds in title screen.
*Swap some more animations.
*Implement GOAL rings.
