WARNING - The following post is going to make me sound like an asshole, but I'm just giving constructive criticism, maybe a bit harshly though
Ok, I watched the video and noticed a lot of issues.
-The title screen is a blatant edit from level l01
-The text difference between "Super" and "Cherry land" is a little annoying, you should just spell out super instead.
-The three springboards on the title screen seem useless, assuming its for getting to the other side, you should only need one.
- the text color for "Justin Vanden Beukel" doesn't look good, you should change it.
-The main overworld was unedited
-The blue submap looks too plain, add some decoration.
-In the "path to switch palace", I don't understand the wall of note blocks at the beginning
-Hopping off enimies in a muncher pit the first level is a little hard for a first level
-The ? block in the background doesn't look very good, please get rid of it.
-"Path to switch palace" was a very short level, try to make it longer.
-"Trust Test x4" has a door leading to level 0, never a good thing
-Its also called the "Yellow switch palace" in multiple levels, why?
-"Cherry pipe ocean" has a bad background palette. The FG palette isn't bad, but I think you should make the dirt a darker purple
-The cement block ceiling in the underwater section (even though it's just one string of blocks) doesn't look good.
-The ghost house stairs and boxes (idk what they are) palette look bad, change it from palette 0 to 4
-The spikes are the same color as the background, not very good looking
-The clock at the bottom of the screen with the decoration looks odd. You should put it above instead of below, it would look cool
-Bad pipe and throw block colors
-"Cherry coolaid lake" has layer 3 tides with vertical scrolling. While I do like the gimmick, it might not be accepted
-The color for the layer 3 water looks kinda funky, maybe adjust it a bit
-The pipe at the end of the first section of "cherry coolaid lake" looks like a blatant edit, but idk
-the pipe in the next section looks cutoff
-"Funky forest" has a glitched goal sphere at the beggining, why is it there in the first place anyway?
-Overall the palette for the level looks a little eye searing, you should make gradients by pressing ALT and right clicking on the two colors that you want to make a gradient with
-The use of the extending turn block to enter the pipe was cool, but the pipe's palette looks very weird. Please change it
-The big hill section that you climb up has nothing in it. Add a power-up or something.
-Where does the vine lead?
-You entered a pipe, but didn't come out of one, perhaps you should add a pipe
-Also why did you just randomly fall out of mid air there?
-"Cherry Ridge" has a very easy to get 1-up in the begining. despite the fact that you need the yellow switch to get it, its very easy to get. Not good
-Also assuming you have the wallkick patch on in "cherry ridge", you could just jump over the cement block section and break the level
-The yellow horizontal pipe seems unnecessary because it doesn't lead to anything.
-overall "cherry ridge" seems flat and boring
-Donut plains 3 and 4 are unedited, and you broke the level with a cheat code, I think you should actually edit the levels.
-The "Grape hell" castle has bad placement of background tiles, along with a bad palette
-The level is an obvious blatant edit of level 7
I'm sorry for the long list of criticisms. I'm only doing so because I see great potential in this hack, but there are places it could be better.
