The idea is not that original, you just go to a point, pick an item and go back to big boo to hit the boss three times. The originality comes from the layout of the level along with the aesthetic. Not a first place entry but may be somewhat high. If the boss is too hard for you, there is powerups on the level on the right.

Only thing to say I guess is that the turn blocks turn green when you hit them on purpose. Sadly, there'll be a few bugs because I didn't have time to get around to it... Hopefully it's not super heavy for you. This is my first time actually entering a contest of any sort here...
As I said, I haven't done anything serious in a while, and I even feel that this is a somewhat rushed job. I just now took the time to tune it up, make some improvements and difficulty adjustments, and make the patch.
If you're wondering about why I give the player a powerup, it was so I could do powerup-state testing in case I put something like this in a proper hack.
