[Tool] Mario Assembler - GFX32/GFX00

DOWNLOAD

So yeah, I made this a while back. Gonna release it in the shadow of Effect Tool xD
To be honest, I don't even know if there is any need for this whatsoever. But since I have it... might as well release it here #smw{;)}
A short console application (yes I can code those too) that loads GFX32.bin and GFX00.bin and combines them into an easy to view and edit GFX file.
For those who read my hack reviews sometime, they should know I'm no fan of redrawn player graphics, and that goes for two reasons.
1. Usually don't look to good
2. Forgot to edit certain frames.

Well not anymore (I hope) with this I can easily check if a redrawn player has been properly made.
And for those who want to redraw a player, it's probably easier with that too ^^.
Of course the tool also supports back convertion from the combined one to a GFX32 and GFX00 file.

For those who do want to use this to redraw the player, watch out. A lot of 16x16 tiles need to look the same, after all in the original GFX32.bin they only appear once. They just get copied here multiple times. On the image below you can see which tiles need to be the same (also in the download)

Well the idea is quite nice. Never thought of anything like that. This will be very useful for people that make graphics for their characters. Great job :)
Another useful release Jack! This will definitely be useful for editing the Mario sprite without forgetting to edit a piece. Even subtle things (not really "subtle" in this case exactly) can be of tremendous help to the person. Thank you for releasing this.
Great tool idea. It will be a pretty useful tool to who want to edit mario's graphics. Good job!

Some really impressive tools coming out this year, I have to say! It's definitely wanting me to get back into hacking, that's for sure.

Great work! This is sure to be useful!
There were always two issues that destroyed any motivation I had for ever redrawing Mario:

--The original graphics are all chopped up into pieces
--Even if I went through all the effort of piecing them together, I'd have to remember which tiles have to look the same

This release addresses both. Super-useful, as far as I can see. Thanks!

Not sure...how to work this...
Ooh yes, this is something graphics makers like myself need. Making players is something I've seem to become a professional at doing now, I've made over 10+ player graphics files, and still more are to come. =.=

Thank you very much for this, this will definitely help me in the battle against!: Bad player graphics!
I love you.

Seriously, I can see why you're a Staff Member.

Can't get past that...
Very nice tool just from looking at it. Although, it doesn't have much use to me since I've already changed all my tilemaps into something readable. Regardless, it will definitely be useful if you are planning on using the default tilemap arrangements and simply want to change Mario without going through the hassle of remembering what each tile is for and where.
Another great tool there. I'm sure that those users who are aiming for a different player GFX will love you~
Whoa, That Tool Gonna help me a lot to make new Player Grapichs, Nice work Jack o/
but... I have no Idea of how it works >XP
