Tip: If you place a moon, midpoint, or dragon coin through Map16, it will always respawn whenever you reenter that sublevel. It will not respawn if you add it through the Add Objects/Extended Objects window.
A lot of people on the internet like to poke fun at the fans of certain games or series. Whether they are incredibly whiny, unpleasable, consist of nothing but 5-year olds, over-obsessed, complete snobs, annoying, etc.
But I never hear people talk about what the worst fanbases of all time are.
This is a very dangerous thread to create, so if you don't want to be involved in a fan war, don't reply to this thread, and if you do, make sure you don't give away your state or real name in your profile.
So anyways, what games do you think have the worst fanbases of all time.
-------------------- Yes, I know, I don't have an avatar, I can't find any damn pictures that are small enough >:(
Sonic, and CoD haters. The complaints by Sonic Genwunners has led to everyone except Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Eggman and every game between and including Drift 2 and Unleashed being retconned out of the entire series. And while I don't like CoD I agree that the haters are worse than with any other franchise out there.

The funny thing about TF2 is that, really, in game the vast majority of people who chat are nice or at-least decent enough. And, on most fansites or forums, the TF2 users are pretty cool and nice as well (I was actually impressed with the fact that the TF2 Reddit wasn't HELL ON EARTH.)
However, the Steam Forums/Discussion community... stay away from them. "Pros" (who as far as I know never showed any proof of being in a tf2 league) screamed at me for saying the Gernade Launcher was skill based.
The fanbase of this game is the worst one by far, not only do the game lack feature that would reduce frustration that it's rival dota2 have(pausing the game and no penality for leaving the game once someone left) but it's nearly impossible for the game to not become a rage-fest once your team is losing(unless you play with 4 friends). The one with the most death at this point will have constant insult thrown at him. Despite being a team game, the rampant Dunning–Kruger effect make it more of a blame game where you need to find a way to justify and blame others for your mistakes.
Other terrible fanbase don't compare since they don't ruin the enjoyment of the game (Sonic game don't become unplayable because of the sonic recolors and you can mute peoples in the FPSs).
Definitely going to agree that the Pokémon fanbase is annoying. I kind of lock myself in a nuclear bunker every time a Pokémon game is ever released and wait until there are signs of other conversation.
Also, Minecraft (though less nowadays) and Team Fortress 2 both seem to me like the My Little Pony of game fanbases as far as shoving it down everyone's throats go.
Xbox Live is full of sailor-mouthed children and I can't really pin that on any of the games; this system needs a 24/7/365(+1) version of The Purge.
Just look above you... If it's something that can be stopped, then just try to stop it!
-Animal Crossing (Yeah seriously, if you say one bad thing about animal crossing your gonna get bombarded with hate comments)
-And people who still believe the genesis is better than the SNES
I am not so familiar with the MMORPG / MOBA fanbases so I don't really know anything about them.
Also I am afraid to say anything about MLP because i am afraid ill be kicked from this site. (I mean there is a whole section for MLP emoticons)
As a Pokémon fan and former hater, I have to agree the fanbase is horrible. When I was a hater, a lot of fans would jump on me just because I didn't like it, then again as a hater I kind of looked for it. Also, I don't like the whole thing about competitive gameplay and how you pretty much can't win unless you have fully trained IVs/EVs and use the same pokémon as everybody else. The games themselves are still great though.
Nothing compares to the fanbase of Call of Duty anyway. And by this I mean all the 12 year old kids playing CoD online, day and night, yelling on the mic thinking they are though because they're killing people in a video-game.
League of Legends/DOTA 2/Counter-Strike/Call of Duty/Minecraft are probably some of the worst.
Team Fortress 2 has it pretty bad too with the traders, "clever businessmen", and "economists". Also has a brony problem, though bronies are dying off in general. The trading cancer has since spread to other Valve games like DOTA 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Sonic is kinda bad too, and breeds lots of funny stuff on art and fiction websites, but they aren't outwardly annoying like other game fanbases are.
The MLP fanbase probably falls somewhere in Minecraft and Team Fortress 2. TF2 has entire servers dedicated to it, with all kinds of cringe-worthy content such as custom maps based on Equestria, ugly and poorly put together 3d models, annoying sounds you have to download to your hard drive... and so on.
Well, I don't really know...pretty much all of the ones that have been mentioned so far I could definitely imagine being pretty bad, but I haven't really been accosted by any such fans, nor have I experienced how miserable it is to play with them (not having played most of those games) or what forums about them are like. I will say, though, that among games that I actually have played, while they are certainly not the worst, I have really started cultivating a dislike of Super Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy fanboys, mainly because they insist that those are the only "real" 3D Mario games and that Super Mario 3D Land and World are somehow not worthy of being 3D Mario games (and often that Super Mario 64 was the only proper way to make a 3D Mario game...really?!). Paper Mario fanboys are kind of along that same thread, but maybe not to quite the same extent.
