Hello, everyone. It's been quite a while that I made a Kaizo hack, but this one is going to be my next released one. On this hack, SuperAgentYoshi and Flan have teamed up with me onto making the hack NITOR (pronounced night-ore)!

Now, with NITOR, the theme is a ghostly island and as you complete levels, you go into a cave section. (This is a vanilla hack.) This hack has been confirmed for 4 levels. There is some Glitch Abuse in this hack, so be prepared. Of course, this hack is almost finished, but all we could provide are some screenshots showing our work, but that's all.

Progress: 100%
Released: December 22nd, 2014.

Level 1 - Kagami Hiiragi - 100% Done - Cherry Twist
Level 2 - S.A.Y. - 100% Done - Monochrome [Video Deleted]
Level 3 - Kagami Hiiragi - 100% Done - G.E.M. (Genetically Engineered Munchers)
Level 4 - Flan - 100% Done - Dark, Spacious Cave
Level 5 - Kagami Hiiragi - 10% Done - Orion[Scrapped]




The screenshot with the title screen, is to test the irony of the theme. Instead of dark and hot, it's bright and icy, if you were wondering.

hey, looking nice, TDO! i'm liking those screenshots there, especially the 4th screenshot with all the munchers and red grass. the monochrome level looks too easy for a kaizo level. is it a bonus level, or a yoshi shell-jumping course?

Anyway, it's not often that we see a collab Kaizo hack in the works. You're doing a good job so far in it, but at the monochrome level, are you supposed to shell-jump in midair or am I missing something? The spotlight level doesn't have too much to comment, I know the designer of that level will work to make it even better with that theme.

Good luck with that, I hope it becomes finished sometime soon.

It is me; that is working on that level. Right now its a bit of a mess, because I had far too many Ideas and tried to cram them all into one level, which didn't end well. But I feel I can seperate them off into two solid levels... I think.

First of all, we would like to thank you on that feedback that we recieved and we took it into consideration. Flan's planning to split the spotlight level into 2 levels of its own, S.A.Y. is getting psychotic and pit-like into his levels, and I'm just
drinking wine and
designing my levels. Now, to the screenshot extensions. We don't want to show too much. The one with the red grass is my work, monochrome level is S.A.Y.'s. Flan is planning something else in mind. I have also did the title screen as well: it looks impossible, but it's not. It's just bloody hard.

You need a Yoshi for that. That's what the first (monochrome) screen will lead to.
It's bloody difficult to get there at that small space.
You arrived (at this island) at night time, and what do you do?

I will edit this when Flan give some screens of his work.

I have a question on implementing onto my level.



What I'm planning to do, is to use the throw block to the yellow block, then taking the shell with me to the coin platform and use the shell, and there would be a springboard there on the coin platform. I would use the springboard and the shell onto the platform that is going to be on top (which is not shown in the picture).

When I am testing on ZSNES, the shell disappears when I try to screen right to go back for the shell. Would this idea be successful, or would there be any changing?

Edit: I am thinking of changing the P-Switch to a note block, but I don't know.
this kaizo collaboration hack is looking great so far! i'm liking the idea of jumping precisely in-between the thwomps and muncher plants, and the idea of jumping off a p-switch to get to the other ledge.

Never mind about my question, I have to move the shell at the end when the throw block is used to get to the shell.

Now I can carry on with my work. Here's what I did (I just had to move a sprite. It doesn't look that bad.)

I have decided to fuse G.E.M. into NITOR. It appears that I get more ideas when I start on a blank ROM. More screenshots are to come soon.

If you're wondering what the acronym stands for, it means Genetically Engineered Munchers. In that level, some idiot in a lab created the muncher and began infecting the land and multiplying ever since the 1st muncher was planted.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I most likely will. The first level is at night time, and my next level is a sunset time.

Also, have you came up with a name for your first level?
With school and all, it will be more difficult for me to spend time with SMW Hacking

I'll certainly try my best to finish it, though it may take longer now...

I think it would look better if she would make the background a little darker. Otherwise, it looks very nice.

No sound in this, but this is the title screen. Also, G.E.M. will be finished soon in order for a 3 level demo.
