As the Title Suggests, this May very well be a Dumb Question. The Question is...

When you want your Thread to be closed, can a user do it, or is it only Staff Members that can Close Threads?

If someone can answer this for me, it would be Greatly Appreciated.

Only staff but iirc they don't do close requests.

I guess it depends on the situation

The thread closure policy is here.
Its existence implies that non-staff can not close any threads. This is also how things work.

Staff only close threads that are outdated events, spam or have been bumped from a long time ago. At least they are the most frequent reasons of closure. If you have a project to show off and you cancelled/stopped working on it, you can ask one of them and they can close a thread for you.
