I feel like this is correct. Sometimes the mushroom/feather GFX will even change (to the opposite between the two) just because another powerup leaves the screen.

I started off using that and I had an issue with it-- see my first post. ;P
Since I don't know asm I might be screwed-- every time I try this tool on a new ROM a breaks it too for some reason.
