EDIT: New version.
-Fixed item memory errors in Helicopter section.
-Snowball has been replaced with a chomp rock to get rid of lag.
-Moved the Lakitus in stage A6 forward so they don't ambush the player mid-air.
-Replaced the constantly-respawning green platforms in the ski lift segment with a single yellow platform.

Neat level, I really liked the secrets/puzzles.
Seems like I'm missing two red coins somewhere though. Here's how many I'm getting:
5 at the end of the 1st part
8 at the end of the 2nd part (clouds)
11 at the end of the 3rd part (plane intermission)
14 at the end of the 4th part (snow)
15 at the end of the 5th part (skilift intermission)
18 at the very end.
What am I missing?
The two red coins you're missing are hidden behind the posts at the bottom of the ski lift segment. You can see them if you look closely enough while riding the line guided platform.
That red coin can disappear if I get any other regular coin in the same column first. This applies to the other red coins in the room, so make sure there are no other coins below/above them.
This only applies if you scroll it a very far distance off-screen or exit and reenter the room. (I think?) the room is small enough that sprite memory errors won't occur and it can only be accessed once, so this is a non-issue.
EDIT: I was wrong. Surprise. Apparently this only applies to regular coin objects. Item memory affects sprites the moment
they scroll off-screen, because they only render when they're seen. Definitely going to go ahead and fix this room up.
This part with the snowball is (still?) a little laggy, but I don't know how much more you can do about it. It's not a big deal I guess.
If it becomes a major issue I can always replace the snowball with a regular chomp rock. The only other solution I could see is removing any other objects that create snow sprites, which would be really boring visually.
I feel like this guy suddenly comes straight into your face in the middle of a jump. I might also suggest to lower the ground a bit from that point on, to give more room to the lakitus, but it's up to you.
I'll go ahead and move the sprite a few spaces forward.
e: also forgot to mention, the stars in the last two sublevels are weird, both because of their palettes, and because they are in front of the clouds. But that's something that can be fixed later on maybe.
I just did that because I liked the aesthetic it had. Think of them as ice crystals. That said, I'm curious if there's a level mode I could use where Layer 2 appears behind layer 3.
